B, that is what I fear as an NG equity investor. When I posted this on other boards two years ago, most replies stated that I was nutty. The panic has yet to sink in on some of these dry gasssers. They will not play the game of "Shut-in at wellhead", or reduced flowrates. I still think oilier ECA will get it together, however. Divestiture or outright sale of acreage will lower the debt levels
T will buy back shares, raise the divy, announce the cure for cancer and diabetes, and still go down a quarter tomorrow. Like Henry Hill said in Goodfellas, "It just doesn't matter", when they want you gone.
12 bucks would be a miracle. 10 would be about fair. 9 will be the bid. I'll take it and run.
Yep facqcee, I bought 11 days before that at 26.94 and have spent 5+ years is purgatory, reinvesting dividends, and averaging down slightly. I am tempted to bail the entire thing, but the recent news is good for a 30-33 dollar px into Christmas. especially if Immelt announces some increased dollar sharing plan directly with us longterm shareholders. Like a buck divy.
Did you wager that it would go to 18, with a few hundred $20 puts, or the selling of 22.5 calls? If you just guessed that it would drop, and didn't back your mouth with your money, your opinion is worthless to you, and us. I think UPL will be back in the 20's by year end and have bought down here at 18.90
Recent buying by insiders like Obut and Cusack, who cleaned up on the Petrohawk buyout, is indicating that they feel like they are going to do it again. I rode the first BHP buyout to a house in Vegas, and now I need one in Florida..
Hopefully Watford will 80% hedge us at $4 plus through the 6-7 summer months. And shift the drilling dollars to the Uinta for now. Thinking +-30 bucks by March for UPL.
TPG is sitting there with a stunned look on their face. Pop gun Mississippian wells, along with the DOR rust bucket that very few folks want to buy. Gimme 8 bucks.
Somebody big has sold a load, and the MM's are petering it out as fast as they can so as to not gap the thing to 5 bucks. Or maybe 4.75. Maybe Ward has sold out, or Prem.
Fear of quaking is good for us Drillers/frackers (the service industry), and the companies who produce hydrocarbons. I saw where semi violent protests in Eastern Europe are giving Chevron seconds thoughts about operating there. This is spreading everywhere , especially in foreign gov't offshore waters. We currently can't touch New York State or offshore/onshore California. The guys (DVN/EOG/APA/RRC) etc, who are building reserves and infrastructure now, will benefit greatly in the near future, because I figure it is only a matter of time before the plug is pulled on fracking/Refracking, nationwide. Especially refracking older fields. That's what I am doing.. Re-entering older wellbores (corroded and eroded casing strings), and fracking the dog out of otherwise zero perm/porosity shales and sending frack fluid and produced fluids everywhere. My goal is to not contaminate the freshwater aquifers, but I will be dead in 10 years, so i really dont give a frack.. I follow orders, and hope global warming and earthquakes continue to be in the news.
Been holding since 27 in 9/2008, and reinvesting divys. I held down to 6, added at 12 on the way back up, and am finally above water on a 5 year ride. Not sellin now. Anybody who had GE above 30, pre2008, needs to hold their stock. I see a special divy, or at least an 8 cent rise for Dec to 0.84/year, and $30 in 2014.
Really doesn't help the dry NG market as much as it hurts the diesel refiners. Right about now most of the NG wells in non-depletion drive reservoirs are alllowed to produce only about a quarter of their true "reservoir safe" potential, and all it would take is a 1/64" choke change to up production. A small drop in the very large bucket is the incremental increase in NG usage to convert trucks to NG, in my opinion. Massive NG exports, at higher prices, or Arctic freezing in Miami will be our salvation.
The results of the Miss is what is bugging this #$%$. Sell the DOR and clear up the debt, before Oi his 70 in mid 2014
I think he can bring this thing to 30 on his own in 12 months, but i would take the money now, and buy another like SWN.
