Dang Dang killed estimates with higher revenues and increased number of users........my guess is that CTRP is benefitting from Dang Dang's great quarter.
At best, Andrew Bary is an MLP dilettante who was swayed by a buddy's argument.........at worst, his hedge fund buddy manipulated him into planting an 'expose". Reading the KM response, it seems clear that Bary misunderstood a couple of simple accounting issues and wants to paint KM with the Enron tar brush.
The stock buyback program is worthless to shareholders if you just turnaround and give the stock back to bank executives. STT should increase dividend to $3 a share.
Yes, STM is buying INVN.......normally, they would send out a press release but we decided to announce on a Yahoo message board this time.
Let's hope that the eco extremists lose some political clout as a result of this brutal winter. Long term, coal benefits from this winter even if prices don't go up immediately.
You have to give management credit for re-inventing the company. The old One Beacon was a second tier personal lines and commercial company. Maybe the top personal lines company can make a profit in good weather years but the real money is in the specialty lines ala RLI or Markel. We can only hope that our charts in five years look like RLI the old Replacement Lens Insurance company for contact lens.
probably going up because I sold some of my shares.........just send me a nice fruitcake for Christmas for starting the runup.
Still can't figure out who or why someone bought all those Dec 35 options........The person may have lost a small amount buy to lay out $40k on a bet on a thinly traded stock didn't make a lot of sense. Could see some price swings tomorrow.
Very discouraging to lose a grand on every $5 price drop........sold 50 shares so the loss is less than a $1000. Last time I buy a stock where 75% is owned by another company.
4% Yield..........breakup value probably is double book value.......still a good long term buy and today;s news is hardly a deal breaker as distribution will be unchanged.
I have no clue how many more towing systems are purchased after these ice events like what Texas just went through but you have to think that towing companies are more apt to buy new equipment after a historic ice storm...........maybe not.
