GSK is smart. They will buy out a promising company like CUR for what will turnout to be a very cheap cost and as a result have therapies for Als, dementia, depression, spinal cord injury and stroke. Cur is the most inexpensive route to participate in what portends to be an major change in the approach to medicine ... cure it rather than mitigate the symptoms. China is already on board big time. Hopefully GSK knows the future is in regenerative medicine and not mitigation of symptoms. We shall see.

Shelf Offering -- Read Between the Lines

Reasoning is coherent. Thanks for sharing.

  • The low volume and the drop followed by and initial modest recovery suggests that the Feuerstein attach may well meet with serious resistance. Data always speaks louder than words. The truth is and the data supports a future for CUR treatments. Soon the USA will come to understand that regenerative medicine is the paradigm of the future. In the long run it saves money and more importantly, it liberates people to fulfill their destiny and not be slaves to mitigating drugs that only prolong the agony. My son introduced me to this stock. He is smart beyond his years but to his credit he is a humanist before a capitalist. His financial support for CUR is directed toward the humanistic goals of eliminating (not reducing symptoms) for age related dementia, depression, stroke, neurological injury/disability. It takes a certain kind of person to attach companies that aspire for just noble goals. Hopefully the investors that are drawn to CUR will stand up to Feuerstein attacks and see this mission through to its natural destiny. Hopefully that destiny does provide the new hope and life to those afflicted with these heretofore untreatable diseases. As always, our best the patients and their supportive family that have courageously participated in our scientific pursuits.

This is what happen as day traders surrender their profits. A lot of shares were picked up around $3.25 by traders who live by a model that depends on the movement of money. They are not to be denigrated for using a proven model but they should be understood. When we have absorbed this genre of trade then CUR which migrate to the price suggested by the very recent positive news. At some point a new higher base will be established until the next material event which will move the shares again.

I was not sure the original reference was in fact for neural stems cells. Thanks for the clarification.

Please clarify if these are the same stem cells being used for the successful trials run by neurlstem. Please provide a URL for the article. Thanks

    Shorts are hurting today!!

    by goldseverum May 28, 2014 1:07 PM

The latest data showed a small reduction of short interest as of 5/15/2014. Only around a 250,000 share reduction occurred. Some recent shorts may have decided to cover and sustain a wash sale designation. Probably not a lot. If all goes well by 6/16/2014 the shorts may make a more significant coverage effort. Today was just positive movement by current investors and some newcomers. The sellers were probably some longs that picked up some unbelievably cheap shares at $3.05 or so and with the buys may have exceeded their comfort holdings zone. And of course, the day traders who are happy to turn this quick profit were trading today. When we hit $5.25 I think the seed of a short squeeze will be in place. Hopefully the share price continues a steady measured climb to a new fair value of $7.00 - $8.00. To those who held through the storm ... well done :)

I would be more concerned with the extreme amount of pumping in recent days. In the past such pumping portends a significant decline. Closing stores does not augur well for increased earnings and the breakfast war have only just begun. MCD may well be more than fully priced at current levels. Tomorrow may be the tell.

You have great timing. At some junction you must have found value in Halo or why you would not have made your initial investment. Given the time of your departure you surely did not know that the study would be delayed as it was too close to the bad news. You may be a day trader who just tries to play on the emotions (and that is a great strategy) but that tactic carries the risk of trading without foundation. So congratulations on your good fortune. I think the scientists at Halo are working diligently to provide patients with better outcomes. Unless the longs are willing to provide the funding for this kind of research even during the periods of disappointments scientific progress will not occur and American leadership will be at risk. If the outcome we all desire is to have any chance the scientists need to be confident that we are not going to cut and run.We all took a big hit today but the game is far from over. My success as a coach often depended on my ability to motivate my players get back in the game even after a demoralizing untimely score. Hopefully we will send the right message to our scientific team by supporting their effort to get this right.

Given just normal volume yesterday no insider used this as an opportunity to turn a quick profit. There will be a strong reaction so at some junction shares will be very attractive even in the shadow of this unsettling news.

    XOM is worth $85/sh max

Your target appears a little low but I do think the current supply will pressure oil and subsequently impact earnings. What any stock is worth depends on the strength of the currency. Our currency I fear is destined for a little reality check. When the check arrives your target may well be achieved. It is not on the immediate horizon .

  • I bought my first stock at 15 years of age. One thing I learned early along the way is being correct is not always the precursor to being right. A lot of people on this board seem to have lost the confidence they once had with HALO. If that is the case, cut your losses and get a good night sleep. If, on the other hand, you are properly diversified, you can wait out this cycle and enjoy a recovery in Halo. Seasoned investors know the fickle nature of the market and have the intellectual tolerance to endure the emotional low periods. Casting dispersion on company officials and other posters is not a very productive contribution. Please focus on the merits of the company and the areas where the company could retool. May we all be imbued with patience and a growing confidence in a good outcome for the scientists who work on our behalf.

Be careful about these wash sales. You need to wait 31 days if you declared losses.

FCX WINS 16 0f 17 lease bids in GOM!!

I thought I read last fall that they slowed the project to focus on some completion sites but given the successful buyout it seemed the rush to complete DJ2 was over. The geology suggests enormous reserves of gas. The problem relates more to the chemistry present at this temperature and pressure. DJ! was not a fair test of the newly developed technology. DJ2 on the other hand clearly at the tipping point. By October we should know the verdict.

They went cheap by trying to drill with the current small bore pipe rather than the larger bore needed for the extreme pressure and temperatures these wells will present. The mud was also a key issue . I believe DJ2 is a much larger bore and hopefully the perforation technique has been reengineered. I truly hope DJ2 comes in soon to mitigate the potential copper drag. I also hope that you are correct with your PPS projection but with China now working on it's own enormous deep water play gas may stay depressed for some time. Keep posting Reddog, you have an encouraging viewpoint and we all can benefit from that right now.

Yes, but we all knew the process of resetting the base would generate some gyrations of this sort. I think today will help set up a stronger and more sustainable move forward April 10th or so.

Absent the last trade of 100 shares @ $13.25 I see 151,100 shares that moved the close up by $0.05. Given the sector got hit hard today I see this as an opportunity for an early position for the rebound.
