I read the earnings Q&A thoroughly and inferred the inspection will more than likely be at Hayward from the give and take from the co and the FDA feedbacks. I also inferred that Fred decision to take the CEO role was based on his research of where Impax is on their corrective efforts. I believe the issue is resolved and Fred feels this way as well which provided him confidence to take this role. Goldman and Stanicky both prodded to find out if the FDA is already there?? Perhaps they are?? The answer is they will report news on the results of the re-inspection only! Both Goldman analyst and Stanicky seem to believe FDA is at Hayward.
The results should have pushed this undervalued company up $4 like its peers. Hayward has been an anvil hanging on the neck of Impax for too long! Once the 483 is cleared I see the stock bouncing $8-10 points higher and Fred steps forward driving his initiatives.
I believe Hayward will be the re-inspection facility and then approval of Rytary. What we may see first is a partnership inked by Fred prior to approval to help with launch costs and give Intl coverage.
Near term 20 day target Impax $32= reason Estimates will have to move up because of earnings discussion about most of Renvela contribution coming in 2cnd quarter.
That's were Rytary will be mfg'd. Fred has deep connections in this space and a deal is imminent with a large pharma seeking to add a drug quickly to their inventory. Not sure who it will be perhaps Pfizer, Abbot or one of the other large players. It is going to happen shortly.
So now you think Rytary will be mfgd at Hayward? Another product purchase would be great, but a deal is likely in my opinion too.
I value your opinion Tanis, you have strong insight into the industry. Can you give your take why when Impax blew out the numbers and estimates with Renvela being launched with the 2cnd Q as the big contributor why the stock didn't bust through $30/share?
I know Hayward is an anvil hanging around Impax's neck and I guess my gut wants me to see the inspection happen here and finally be over and done with! The sooner the better as they plowed about $30 mill towards fixing it since the last inspection. It is done!
Name one thing of any value you have contributed even an idea? Crickets................
Once Hayward gets the green light, this stock will ramp up nicely. I am with Tanis and I'm waiting for Fred to purchase some interesting add on drugs for the proprietary space.
Maybe a merger or two to get things ramped up!!
Nobody through that one out there! Behemouth has been hungry and buying like crazy. Why not let one of your top 5 go to Impax straighten in out and then allow Activis to step in. Obviously the Board, Fund managers etc will require a fair price, but to wash the problems add a few proprietaries and strengthen the generics launches as all plants are at full capacity??
Just a thought, but an interesting one!!
There will not be much time left before the rest find out what this company has to offer. I said it before and Heather you are the one to make it happen NOW! A proven generic player with compounding growth traits.
Time tom act is now before Endo or Teva step in. I like MYL and want to see these two married!!
The market will love this combo-Rytary and strong generic backbone!! $400 mill cash no Debt!
I would say the time to act is like yesterday with MYlan and Endo chomping at the bit for consolidation as well. IPXL is at $26.6 1.7 bill with No debt $400n mill cash and Rytaryn coming to market (proprietary). Will go fast!
I agree with the poster on the reinspection with the exception that I believe it is done. I spoke with inside quality people that at the time were pros from Watson now Actavis, that told me it was procdural missteps and they believed they had the warning letter corrected back then. Now they have layers of revamp and protection mechanisms that should have this plant world class which is why I want the inspection yesterday. We have consultants that have connections with these processes with the FDA on board that have been guiding Impax through this maze of resolution. Once done as I believe and feel Fred believes it is done there will be an EXPLOSION of approvals, back approvals just in time for mega expirations to go off!
Wondering if you heard anything on the horizon?
Nobody said anything about total volume megamind, I was referring to the initial 100k and 50 K blocks that sent the stock up .45 in 10 seconds to start the day genius.
But thanks for listening, your so clever!!
Don't sit on your hands and get smart!! Art Koch and I told management to go after LCI and they did nothing and missed a giant opportunity. Art left and now I am saying to Fred through email to buy PTX- Pernix at $6.25 maybe for $8/share and keep their CEO to manage that part of the business-Kingsdale super smart in this space!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok Do it, like today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep Mr. Drysdale on board to manage the generic platform of the business alongside Carol. Two heads are better than one and this guy is fully connected in this space. DON"T miss out on a layup opportunity before it's gone!
MNTA is depressed yet about to launch generic Copaxone in a month and several others lined up with Baxter. Break into this space with a company with cash and no debt and big prospects early in its cycle.
Why wait??? It is a gift staring right at you right now!! $11.5 / share- $290 mil in cash no debt Share for share
IPXL would go up $15 on this buy alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well maybe, but when most of the sector is heading south and this one pops up .5 plus cents on a block trade early I watch. Mutual fund trades hit at the end of the day, I was a trader in past life and executed these trades for funds, stocks specifically. Early blocks are something else??
