It doesn't have to be a direct relationship arrangement. It can be a "i'll take this action, so you can make money on a short, and then later, you use some of those gains, to finance other aspects of this business, or other investments that i'm involved with. How's that sound ? "
That's why I posted Lief selling before a market sell-off. Not insider trading , as far as trading on ARNA informormation. But selling on knowledge that the market was about to tank.
They tank it, and then cover at the end of the day. They just couldn't drive the volume today.
He wouldn't be the first CEO to manipulate the share price to his favor, either way. Mozillo of Countrywide lending definitely comes to mind.
I don't think that would be inside selling, but that huge sale, before ARNA, and the markets, sold off, sure looks incredibly well advised.
Mostly on two very large blocks. Scooped everything they could up in that 7 cent spread.
You don't think it's a good thing he sold before this plunge? I think it's amazing good luck for him. What a lucky guy. What great timing. Who knew ?
And here I thought that he had sold at a recent low, but he knew better. Almost like he was saying . "Wait a second. Wait a second. Let me sell my shares before you tank the share price. Come on guys ! Haven't I always done what you asked me to do ?"
Does the SEC look into actions of publicly traded company execs, and actions that they take that seem to effect the share price ?
What looks really bad is your using the letter "m" before the letter "k" in your last name. That looks like you're a phoney. That's really bad.
And they still won't be able to drive the volume of shares they need to cover. Looks like they're using a good chunk of their 3 million daily trading shares to tank the share price this morning. Wait this ruse out. The share price will probably close even for the day. IMO.
Poor guys...Can't catch a break.
Nothing wrong with the picture. It's showing that even though the hedge fund wants to cover on the cheap , that no long shareholders of ARNA are selling. Well, I gues that does suck if you're a ginorous hedge fund that's short millions of shares, and still can't cover no matter what you do. That would suck elephants balls.
I don't know who either of those posters are, and I don't care. sounds like some peyton place soap opera shtick. I probably have both of those handles on ignore.
