There headline today was misleading. It was worded like GM is going to stream video games through mobile devices which is not true. I do agree with Razor on this one , that it is short covering into the holiday numbers.

Speaking of your studies and experience tytus, just how long have you been trading in the market and what kind of experience do you have?

Thanks Lewis for keeping this board up to date. I first bought shares in USEC several years ago and have been in and out ever since. I recently purchased more shares in LEU. Although I used to follow usu closely with related industry and political news, I havn't been lately. So I apreciate your post. The question that I have is the market cap of LEU. When USU converted the shares there was supposed to be major dillution with the existing shares due to the restructering. The current market cap is under 50 million. Do you know if this is accurate? Thank you.

Buy back's can have a reverse effect as well as it can potentially amplify the losses. Fewer shares on the float can results and a larger eps loss as well.

I agree that the Walmart experience is depressing...lol. As far as keeping gamers from going in, there was one article that suggested in would benifet them espeically when trading in older games as they would be credited with a gift card that they could use for anything, pop chips, deodorant ... you know, whatever. Also, I don't think the typical young aimless gamer, (biggest client for gamestop according to ceo) is going to care less about stepping foot in walmart. The youtube video, although just one aimless man, seemed to highlight that he didin't really care, if it was a better deal.

The sentence from this article that really stood out is when the author pointed out wha tthe Ceo said about GME's main customers being "young aimless men". This would scare the wits out of me if I were long the stock. Sounds like GME is complacent and in a sense reliant on its customer base of "young aimless men". How much discretionary spending do you really thing these young aimless men have? Are they still living at home with mommy and daddy? From my own research I have found that Gamestop does not treat their employees well. No Christmas parties, very little to none on the employee incentives and even screwed has made major marketing flaws such as very minimul discounts on one of the bigest selling days of the year Black Friday. The Gamestop near my location didn't sell one console on black friday. After finding out about the black friday marketing blunder, I found this Youtube video from a gamer who in-advertently confirmed that these gamers are not as stupid as GME managment thinks they are and would rather shop at Walmart or Target where the deals are. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Kj4fK2vBeM . Speaking of Walmart and Target, back to the big picture. They are working on disrupting the market as of late last year Walmart entered the market. Gamestop's bread and butter is re-selling used games and is only really profitable from November through Christmas. Third pit-fall is the Playstation 4 not being compatiable with older games and both Xbox and PS4 can download games which is growing. meaning taking away more market share from GME. Game stop is throwing out a desperate attempt to call it a social destination by young aimless men. Newsflash, This isn't going to make you money, at least not enough. Also its refurbishment center is a huge liability because it is what Gamestop is hanging its hat on. None of the 6k locations are owned so Gamestop will not be able to lease back its assets for extra cash. 3.5B is bloated. good by Game stop!

I can't speak for the other shorts, however I'm deep in the money already. I have a 40% gain on the recent puts I purchased about 4 days ago. Game stop will take a 10% plus plunge on Tuesday. If you want to make money switch your trade on Monday. Buy some April 17 $34 puts. There still cheap at $5. Tytus, Game stop is going to lose. You need to look at the big picture. Past growth is out the window. Wallstreet is starting to price in future pitfalls. Strading stocks is about making money right? Then who cares if your long or short, just get on the winning side of the trade. If you think ahead and put the pieces of the puzzle together before it prints you will always be a step ahead of all the technical traders, even the fundamental traders. good luck.

BDI is also at baseline support. Seems like a good enrty point here. Many anaylist think the low oil prices are supply vs demand driven. If this is true, then the fall in oil a big positive for dry-bulk shippers.

Don't get too excited. It was a late tape report. Notice the time of 4:03pm. This is common where missed trades will get printed shortly after the bell rings. Also you need to remember an open market order purchase will drive up the price and is more bullish. A limit order is an even exchange and can be just as bearish as bullish.

Thanks for sharing 00. This is another piece of information supporting the bearish case on gamestop. pretty obvious this will probably be the highest point it will be over the next five years. When Gamestop reports do you think the company will look at the treasury purchase as a one time expense item? If this is the case the e.p.s. reduction could be shown with and without items and may not be a surprise loss. Let me know if I'm thinking correctly here. Either way, the business is at the top looking down and when they report holiday results, we will see a big sell off due to the black friday blunder.

  • Baba is the knock off incubator of the world. It has no real assets and only makes money selling premium memberships to its manufactures selling primarily to the North American and European markets. Tmall is a front to invite two way commerce but it is a failure because the Chinese aren't stupid enough to pay 30x the price of something they can buy a counterfit from home for cheap. This is why 70% of the stores on Tmall have done little to know business and are going to walk away according to the Wall street Journal. The corporate VIE structure is a dictatorship in itself, not allowing any major stakeholders except for Ma and his elite crew to control everything. You're shares are Caymen Island contracts. This alone should should put the value of BABA under a 100 Billion market cap. The trillion transaction are merely transactions with no assets. There are automated advertising companies in the U.S. such as the Rubicon project who have a trillion transaction support less than 500 market cap. Finally China is slowing folks!! Internet user growth in China is at its lowest growth rate in the last 15 years. Baba has had the monopoly since with 80% of its peoples market share with Tencent and China Amazon entering the Chinese markets. Would you rather be at the top looking down and get knocked off your perch or bottom looking up. Follow Buffets advice. Buy low sell high not buy high sell low. Baba's getting ready to pop. Not to mention the flood of 2 billion new shares with potential to sell into the float in 2014.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

China has major cultural issues I believe stem from the communist country they are. It is amazing and awful to see the videos of heartless Chinese knowingly running over kids with their vehicles and don't even stop like they are animals on the road. These Baba pumpers are drinking the poisoness Baba koolaid which will pop very soon. China has been slowing, even Chinese internet user growth is a 15 year low at 4% the slowest growth rate in the world. Jack Ma got lucky , good for him and started an online revolution for the Chinese, but ballooned to 80% of the marked. Don't get fooled , this is already banked into Baba's 270 billion stock valuation. new competitors such as Tencent and the Chinese Amazon are entering the markets. Baba's 80% market share which only 45% is any good with Taomao will start to erode quickly.

Yes, Lots of forrest, lakes, fishing and hunting. Also beautiful scenic view such as Sleeping Bear dunes near Traverse City and Pictured Rocks in Northern U.P. I did hear from my friend who works there. She is an assistant manager. I just don't want to reveal anything until I get my position in. Sounds silly, even on this lonley old message board, but its not good for Gamestop and its company wide.
