and msft actually wound up paying more than that, didn't they. not sure if it was because of the euro going up relative to the dollar or nokia playing a little hardball with them over some of the details of the sale. do you know?
also, any other news on this potential increase in i.p.r. from android phone makers since last year?
my brother still has his 4s. bought it right before the 5 came out. he likes it just fine and isn't planning to upgrade. i'm sure he knows about the msft phone o.s. but he has never mentioned it.
my carrier doesn't support either the iphone or the w-phone, so it wouldn't even matter if i did consider it acceptable. a few folks ask about them but there are no plans to offer either platform in the foreseeable future.
because more foster parents keep sending it back to the orphanage!
who ya gonna lock up now, little-willie?
why not buy a nice nokia phone with [some of] your dividend? it's equivalent to about a week's pay. you will even have some money left over to spend on accessories.
me, i'm surprised!
i'm totally used to that and i expected by now you would be too. (-;
it's nice that you still have faith that he could come up with something though. a very charitable outlook. (-;
but now that msft is selling android phones (lock up the devices execs for selling it! X-D) that may make it harder to draw the line as to who is in the lead for the number of users. (-;
they do when they buy up other assets or companies and then dump the redundant personnel and facilities. this is very common. you may not have been thinking of it when you posted, but if you take a minute to recall or look into it you will see this happens all the time.
nokia lost over $14 billion trying to sell smartphones with the msft o.s. msft had to buy their handset division or face the loss of over 90% of all sales for their phone o.s. if nokia went under. and even though the other 3 divisions were making money the smartphone unit lost all the corporate profits -plus- another $14 billion.
so msft will -try- to lose less than that. now that they sell android phones may be they will. but they have said they will quit selling android phones over the next 18 months and are also planning on shutting down the feature phone department, which was profitable, so that works against them.
given this challenge, why not lay off some folks and do a little dividend raise now to paint a good face on what may turn out to be a huge cash burn in the upcoming months?
it's coming up on 1.4 billion, already over 1.3.
it outsells all msft products, hardware and software combined by 3 to 1.
i see a lot of comments by folks that want user replaceable batteries and phones with sd card slots. so they won't be switching. (-;
so, p.u./krarner/birdy/tradestation pumper/ many other i.d.s that you can't log in with anymore, you think this tower p.c. that i built from parts is a net book?
and that best buy will update my browser on it?
your computer skillz are, literally, unbelievable!
demonstrate some more for the folks here so they can see your value to the message board.
glad you liked it! (-;
turns out the euro symbol renders correctly when you post it. but once you bring up the message thread again it gets trashed by the board software. probably a database [mal]function.
see if you can figure out how to do that.
it's hysterical watching you post this stuff!!!
well, so much for that demonstration. ]o:
could be because I have recently updated my browser and it's no fault of the message board software at all. (-;
what browser ya got blimpy?
i've seen it do this before. can't reproduce it today though.
and it hasn't always done it either. there was a point in time when it rendered correctly and then started being reproduced as the obscenity substitute and the $ symbol.like it is in blimpy's post. i.e., #$%$
let's see what happens when I copy from the article he did over at value walk:
J.P. Morgan analysts have an Overweight rating on Nokia with a price target of #$%$8.00.
well, that didn't work out! it rendered it correctly! o^8)=
may be because I selected it directly from my alternate alphabet selector and didn't copy it from a web page and paste it in. lets see:
the board software doesn't translate the euro symbol correctly and renders it thus: #$%$
no problem. was just curious.
most folks don't want that kind of thing noticed, but in your case it didn't seem like you were trying to hide anything or play games with the two i.d.s, so i thought i'd ask.
thank you for being so nice about it.
so, clunt, what made you resurrect your other i.d. and start talking to yourself with it?
you haven't been using the celk40 login for a while. you've only used it 3 times in the last year and two of them were today.
