and the russians may have already inadvertently armed some islamic terrorists with nuclear weapons.
let's see who they blow up first ...
2.5 billion is a billion more than all of the smartphones in use on the planet. o^8)=
are they selling them on the moon? oh, wait, that won't add many units either. (-;
mars? oh, yeah ...
jupiter is big! how about there? \-x)~
actually the msft phone o.s. has about 60 mio. subscribers with regular monthly service. in the world. not just in the u.s.
almost 90% of the 1.5 billion smartphones that exist are android. so those numbers don't add up. best to not quote that source anymore. it's obviously wrong! increasing the number to 2.6 billion will cover that error up though. X-D
any app developer will see that they are automatically strangling themselves unless they write apps for platforms that are actually being used. so one like msft's with less than 3% of the sales of new phones, and 0.04% of the [smart]phones in current use will mean that they don't really care about sales if they don't write for o.s.es that people actually use.
how thoughtful and generous of them to give back to such a neglected community!
oh, right! the islamic terrorists haven't been any threat to the russians, ever, so that will work great for them.
what color is the sky on your planet? (-;
better than russia and iran can afford to start one due to sanctions hitting their economies.
but may be they will starve their citizens to pay for a project to cause trouble like the n. koreans do.
alcatel might not want to keep only the bad bits.
no harm in trying though. (-;
yeah, he could have, but no.
he says things may get better in less than 2 years! investors see no branch, olive or otherwise, being extended to help save them from drowning.
typo. that should say head-worm, not head-worn.
the new software platform will propagate through your head and take over your brain, shutting it down.
repair? msft has the users trained to throw away their system and buy a new oneif it won't boot up.
at least now they won't normally be throwing away perfectly working hardware because the o.s. is hosed. (-;
the analyst, kash rangan, that is being tacitly criticized reports that:
"Rangan explains that the winding of the Win Pro cycle will affect the company's Win Pro and Business Office Transactional revenues, totaling approximately $13 billion of a high margin business. The analyst adds that Win Pro OEM revenue growth has already shown signs of declining over the past quarters, reaching -4 percent in the first quarter.
Rangan believes that the Consumer Office 365 transition to address the 600 million Consumer Office total addressable market will take 20 years to penetrate at a 7.5 million quarterly run rate, which is five times the 1.5 million run rate seen last quarter.
Rangan states that many investors have been expecting margin upside, but the analyst notes that gross profit growth has lagged behind revenue growth.
Finally, the analyst believes that under a “best case” scenario, if Microsoft does initiate a $30 billion buyback along with $4 billion in operating expenditure cuts, this could result in the company running out of room for earnings growth and the price-to-earnings ratio could get de-rated."
and msft would have to quadruple their cloud usage to even come close to amazon, which uses linux.
so "thoroughly used", their volume is still very low compared to the leader, other factors should be evaluated and, as pointed out, any adoption by the navy is at least 3 years out; if it survives testing.

and now he has been forced out by the board and has become a sports team owner.
typically he told the players they have to get rid of their iphones by next season.
hope he doesn't try to manage the team.
msft had 14% of the smartphone market when the iphone launched.
keep dreaming; if you wake up you won't like the real world.
nah, they own ~you~ but that's not anything for them to brag about. (-;
this is just as nonsensical as the late to mobile meme. there was no w10 when they released ver. 7 and called it wp instead of wm. that killed their market share and it has never recovered.
w10 wasn't even a concept at that point (because w8 hadn't failed yet requiring the jump from 8 to 10 and eliminating 9) much less announced. there was no 'other platform' for developers to flee to in the hope of getting some sales volume and creating some [non-existent] osborne-effect for the platform.
and it won't even be called wp 10, it will just be w10. they have already begun removing the word phone from the name with the new htc handsets.
he did it like this:
point out any errors in his analysis.
just saying things are great and will only get better doesn't count.
may be "it" can't post it -because- you can't type it.
reboot. it's just your crummy o.s.
you make it sound like you have no idea why we were attacked.
can't look at that part of the interaction, can you?
"... for trading, it is Only as fast as your Internet Connection."
he refuses to know that. it would point out the hole in his theory that he was getting something useful for wasting all that money on a flashy p.c.
his normal comeback is that he has a gigabit ethernet card/chipset, apparently oblivious to the fact that cheap p.c.s come with those too.
this just illustrates that either he doesn't know what speed his internet service runs at, is unwilling to admit he has been caught blabbering nonsense, again, that he imagines he can cover up his series of gaffes by invoking the name of a hardware protocol, or, more, likely, all of the above.
it has been pointed out to him on multiple occasions that the human element is the one with the most latency in it: his finger is in no way capable of the speeds provided by the hardware of even a $200 tablet. at that point he either stops responding or starts in calling names, as he has no real response to offer.
