Never thought I'd be buying below two dollars but I just did. Lucky to bail at 4 with only a 10K loss. Again at 3.28[but no loss] and now I'm buying again. Must be some sort of affliction. Ed
Oil down to 89.00. Oucherooo! How low will we go? So glad I'm not on margin! I just hope I don't have to average down my average down my average down. But I can if I choose. My position has more than doubled since the accounting fiasco holding at 18% of the portfolio. I'm not sure what the next "good" news will be but I'm confidant George and company will not dissappoint. Ed
it is bad enough PWE and the market is down, but I'll be damned if I'll be %%#*ed if I have to listen to all your pompus bulle s%^&t. ASESWole! Ignore for ever! Ed
Yesterday, I sold some good ,dividend paying stocks to increase my modest HERO position 40%. I don't know why but I get stubborn whan a stock shows poor behavior. I see no catalyst on the upside near term unless Golldman SUX and buddies has enough stock and now decides to move it up. Thank goodness I'm not marginned. That would be a killer with no luxury of waiting for the good news that will be coming by year's end or so.... I hope. Ed
An "older" post for history buffs:
Many folks seem to want to eventually sell PWE at around 12 or 15. People seem to forget just 6-8 years ago PWE traded at 35 and 40 respectively. Personally, I remember buying BCS in March 2009 at 3.60. Others at that entry point were happy to sell at 5 for a big percentage gain. By the time I eventually sold at 22.80 I recall a lot of chatter from those who bought low and bailed saying they "shoulda/coulda" but hardly anyone had the patience to hold for a longer period and substantial gains.
I have 3000 shares of PWE in a portfolio of 14 stocks. I see no reason for selling below 40 dollars/share. PWE is returning to profitability and growth. I can see a perfect storm for NG price increases in the near future. We have O'Bama trying to destroy coal and coal fired power plants. But thanks to Putin [who I actually admire in some ways – particularly for his strength], O'Bama won't be able to destroy the coal industry as exports and demand from Europe will soar and save the day and be very profitable. Switching to gas fired plants will stoke demand. The extreme winter put a real crunch on gas inventory with summer demand coming soon. The first finished LNG terminal will ignite NG pricing. A Republican President will pass Keystone and support drilling as WTI pricing will assume near parity with BRENT.
So I'll hold PWE and be entertained by Harry, auramenko and others. I do think Harry will falter again, [maybe several times] and zig when PWE zags. He has his style. I have mine. BTW, my portfolio is up 431% the past 5 years. Ed
If the SEC goes Harry or other yahoo posters they really are more pathetic than I thought they were. We have a coward for a president. Most pathetic of all. Ed
I really think you are off your rocker. You seem obsessed. SEC? Now that is a real joke. They are in cahoots with the market manipulators. Buddy of Harry? No, I'm just tolerant that is all - of him a bit more than you perhaps. Let people be as they want to be. If you have such a problem with Harry. "ignore" him plain and simple. Ed
Why you picking on Harry? PWE is my largest holding so I follow things on a daily basis. I do not recall Harry saying the dividend would certainly be paid. I also talked to IR and was told by Paradisimo that there would be an announcement on the dividend upon release of earnings. I back checked previous earnings announcements and that was the past protocol. There never was a guarantee there WOULD be a dividend paid only that the announcement would follow earnings release. I thought Harry's posts reflected that. I don't recall Harry saying otherwise. I know I was a bit anxious about the dividend being canceled. So I never thought Harry said otherwise or I would have been much relieved. IF Harry did say anything else He must of missed the nuances of what IR said as I'm sure IR told Harry the same as he told me and countless others. So let Harry be. He's out of action now and probably a little antsy over being blindsided by the accounting revelations. ED
Do you have a Scottrade account? Have not seen mine.....As it stands, at the price I bought I need ALLOT of dividends for a LONG Time. Ed
British company, headquartered in Aberdeen Scotland, listed in Norway's Oslo exchange. Dividend paid in kronars [as all companies on the Oslo exchange] and converted to dollars. Has one very large Norweigian holder [43%] if I'm not mistaken. Ed
