HONG KONG--Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. said Thursday its second-quarter net profit rose 27% from a year earlier but growth slowed from the previous quarter, as consumers delayed buying smartphones before the new iPhone's launch in the fall.

The Taiwan-based contract manufacturer said its second-quarter net profit rose to 25.69 billion New Taiwan dollars (US$800.9 million) from NT$20.19 billion a year earlier. It reported 56% profit growth in the first quarter and 33% in the fourth quarter.
Hon Hai said revenue rose 11% to NT$972.7 billion from NT$879.1 billion in the latest period.

feds will not raise rates in September given recent action by China in devaluing the yuan! This knocks Sept. interest hike off the table!
They are about to bring out a major bull in a few minutes! I think they got AAPL where they wanted her, beaten down below the 200 dma and a good whipping boy for bringing down the whole market. Every stock almost was beaten down below this level so we can start all over again. Good companies like Apple, Disney, Boeing.
Skinner, AAPL hasn't even regained its 200 dma yet. 121.20 area. The upside hasn't even started! Just bouncing from being oversold here.
I liked Huckabee. Trump was entertaining though! Rand Paul was terrible. Even the neurosurgeon Carson was better than Paul. Christie imo is a thug and have no opinion on the others. Too much emphasis on ProLife cause which shouldn't even be part of the agenda.
Good shopping day for me! Market just wants to ratchet down everything to clean the slate. techs, media, biotechs. only thing holding up is netflix it seems!
