not sure if this was bottom in market but perhaps fears of the rate hike are abating. market is like spoiled brat!
All the biotech ETF's are getting hammered. Guilty by association. I own GILD, AMGN, BIIB and can't see anything but a sea of red.
They upgraded TSLA knowing damned well they were going to announce a secondary in ah of which they are an underwriter of. Stock soured on the upgrade to only dump on its shareholders as soon as the announcement was made! SEC?? Duh!!!! That can't be right!
...Researchers at DeCode Genetics, an Icelandic unit of the biotechnology firm Amgen, have identified a new genetic variant that reduces the risk of heart disease and stroke by 34%.
“This is a new biochemical pathway,” says Kari Stefansson, DeCode’s chief executive and founder. “It has not been implicated in coronary artery disease and it provides a relatively interesting drug target.”
The fleecing by WS is amazing. Now Goldman says stay away from equities for the next year? Probably a buy signal! lol
Earnings overall have been lousy and something has to turn this thing around. The opportunity is here for Robbins to change sentiment. Let's hope they don't blow it!
looks like the ol' boy has been busy selling shares last week: Executive Chairman David Aldrich, a 21-year Skyworks veteran, in a filing Thursday reported he had sold 15,000 shares for $964,940.
Also on Thursday, Skyworks announced that Aldrich, who guided the company from 2002 when it was formed by the merger of two wireless technology companies, stepped down as CEO. Skyworks named Liam Griffin as the new chief.
Skyworks shares lost 6% for the week.
I hear ya. Just think how much $$$ we had made if we had placed our money in AMZN about 2 months ago!
Totally no respect from Wall Street.
They are in the same funk at Gilead Sciences (GILD). Both companies have plenty of cash, unbelievable low valuations and pay a dividend. Neither have done #%@% when it comes to making acquisitions. Both are buying back shares and have done nothing in several months. Investors are fed-up with these companies.
