Few read. Fewer comprehend. Even fewer act. Most people, especially the young ones, can't act against their natural herd mentality. That is why an old dumbo like me can earn easy pocket money reading a few reports now and then. Buy a few shares when the price is low and then go enjoy Christmas. There is no need to worry about when it will hit $20 or what not. That gold in the ground ain't going away even when people go away. This is one good Christmas story to tell the grand children. Happy holidays folks! I won't get too excited unless it hits $16 before Christmas. Everything else will just run its course. Seen it all before, haven't we?
“I can calculate the motion of heavenly bodies but not the madness of people.”
― Isaac Newton
Two truths here: math and reality. The rest is all madness.
Did we have fun boys and girls? Lots of presents from Santa this year for those who have the patience to accumulate slowly and have the strong hands (or strong duct tape) to hold on. The winds of change blow hard. You just have stick with your friends and enjoy the journey. The best is yet to come, IMHO. Great ventures attract great people.
The simplest explanation is often the correct explanation. I would remove the 0.5m Cleo vein from my bulk sample program as much as possible. There maybe some unavoidable influence to the rest of the bulk sample, but it would be considered fair game. The details will be revealed sooner or later. That is a certainty.
The objective of the bulk sampling program is to validate the geological model. What would you do, if you want to do it right?

One needs to keep in mind of the man behind the curtains with the big computers. He will play with your mind if you let him. At the end of the day, don't bet against physics. If you can see and touch the gold, there is a good chance it is really there.
With all due respect to the folks at Strathcona, looks like their next public statement can comprise nothing but one word:
It is very intriguing that RBC seems to have made a rather strategic play on people's fear of the unknown by promptly releasing and spreading an analyst report. A little examination of detailed facts is all that is required to nullify that baseless fear. Alas, how many investors actually bother to read details?
Those who came prepared will go home with bags of gold as we journey toward the gold star in the north. God bless the few good men with strong hands who are patiently building their positions. There is a swamp or two along the way, but that makes the journey more fun. Be patient, my friend!
T'is the season to be jolly! Merry Christmas! Santa Claus makes it all good.
Santa Claus has arranged to extend the sales a little tad longer so more good boys and girls can get their presents.
Merry Christmas everyone! Come to Jesus all ye faithful. Looks like our little scout team is way ahead of the herd. We are prepared and our hands are strong.
Thank you, Sir!
In the spirit of Christmas, I pledge that I shall donate $1000 to a good cause or a registered charity if PVG is traded at higher than $12 for 3 consecutive days before Christmas. If PVG is traded higher than $18 for 3 consecutive days before Christmas, then I shall donate an additional $2000. Let God be my witness. May I be so bold to invite others to make similar pledges?
For those who have done your homework, it is time to kick back and await your rewards. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones! I sincerely wish for you (especially the few gentlemen who contributed significant analysis and discussion here) to enjoy this most wonderful holiday. Don't forget to treat yourselves to something nice. You deserve it! This may be a game, but it is also a real journey.
Abraham Lincoln (movie): A compass, I learned when I was surveying, it'll... it'll point you True North from where you're standing, but it's got no advice about the swamps and deserts and chasms that you'll encounter along the way. If in pursuit of your destination, you plunge ahead, heedless of obstacles, and achieve nothing more than to sink in a swamp... What's the use of knowing True North?
Know your True North. Have patience. Heed the warnings. Buy in fractions just in case there is still a swamp or two before the golden North Star is reached.
And when we reach the gold star, it will be as if the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst at once into the sky.
Great ventures attract great people! God bless you all, folks.
I pray for all to have strong minds and equally strong hands. The coming days will separate the men fit for the venture from those who will get blown away by the winds of change. Good luck my friends and may God give you strength! It is all about the journey and we are getting to the fun part!
In layman's terms, YES. Will I bet the whole farm on it? No! Half a farm will be wise. One should always leave some room for errors, or in case an alien spaceship full of gold lands on earth next week.
A word of caution. As a token of gratitude for everyone's great analysis, I would like to remind all to keep things in perspective and do not over or under-extend. The landscapes are changing very fast. Nobody knows what will happen when the other shoe drops, even if it is a 2000 oz gold shoe. Remember that the public is working with very limited and stale information despite the best intention of PVG management. And beware of the man behind the curtain with the big computers. I wish Pretium and all of you well. The journey is as good as the company. Live long and prosper my friends.
Anyone done analysis of risk reward based on spot gold price? Great project. Valuation seems way too rich with risks factored in. Great venture attracts great people. Everyone wins when valuation is fair.
