If you want the best in the business to run your sales division and retain those people it costs money and the COO bonus is based on sales of the drug. Produce and you get the big bonus.....We are now talking about a company getting close to a 100 employees not the one that had 20 employees a couple years ago. More people on the payroll more people eligible for the bonus.......Check out Greg Madison's pay plan.....

Ron's compensation package was put together in the fall of 2009 a few months after he was hired. The BOD approved it......For years Ron and James were the only two officers in the company, which saved the shareholders millions in payroll expenses not to mention the fact Ron's pay when he came and for awhile after was only 250k per year. Those who live in the NY area know 250k doesn't go very far so the company decided on stock options as a way to compensate both men. Produce and you will reap the benefits.......Don't produce and you don't get a bonus........Before he got here the stock was about 35 cents and the company had been mismanaged for years by the previous CEO....That guy ran about 30 clinical trials with Perifosine wasting millions of dollars and not one approval and many of those trials were discontinued to save money.........Ron got stuck with the heat on that one and he had nothing to do with starting all those trials. So he made a big bonus so what ? Those that have owned the stock since Ron was hired have done extremely well if they hung on to it and sold and bought back at the right times.........

When most of these same people were at Genzyme, 85% of their product was sold to 3 different wholesale operations and the other 15% was sold by the sales force. I would like to see those numbers replicated but it will take some time.......

Impax had been having difficulty reproducing Renvela. Genzyme /Sanofi was selling 800K pills to Impax back a few months ago maybe around the April time slot you mentioned...I haven't heard if Impax has made any progress on reproduction.
Just an opinion but I think any generic maker will have the same problem if not more trying to reproduce Z.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
