  • He has a history (SVNT before DNDN) of joining companies as CEO, putting them into HUGE debt that they can never dig out of, and then resigning. I suppose he'll now go on to his next victim. He gets my vote as worst CEO of the year.

Well, I'm up a ton on VMEM at present, thank you VMEM, but I do believe that VMEM will NOT be bought out for at least a year and the price will be at least $9 when and if it happens (adjusted for any additional shs etc).
And this DeNuccio CEO is FANTASTIC!

intelligentbet, iwatch, appl, their new homekit app is NOT backing any particular protocol! Aapl's Homekit is BULLISH for ZWave and SIGM.

cld9731, you really do not know what you're talking about. Companies like Pure and other SSD firms are NOT VMEM's competition! VMEM is at the very top of the food chain. Their competitors are the real huge firms like IBM and HP! And VMEM compares VERY favorably and extremely competitively against them. The biggest issue that has been effecting VMEM's sales is not that their products aren't the best for the money but that many customers are not yet convinced that VMEM has their financial house in order. As it becomes more apparent that they do, sales will explode.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

    Anyone buying before earnings report?

We've got ONE more quarter of flattish sequential earnings after this one. THEN, the earnings are highly likely to be substatially higher sequentially. I doubt the stock will sell off, however, after this upcoming report even though the guidance for SIGM's 2nd quarter will still be mediocre. The quarter after that WILL be much much better and the stock market usually anticipates about 6 months in advance of good news. IMHO we are at the bottom right now. My educated guess is that the stock will be somewhere in the $8 range by the end of 2014.

SIGM has always acted this way since 1983.
It's extremely cyclical, but THEIR cycles not the macro-economy's.
They ride a new wave UP to the hilt (IBM memory boards, MPEG boards, IPTV, etc) and then die until the next cycle.
The NEXT cycle is upon us and it's a combo this time of UHD SoCs and Zwave chips.
Before THIS new cycle is over, in about 1-2 years, I expect SIGM to be at least $20.
SIGM is a pretty unique animal.
And Tran is aok with me. He does the best he can given SIGM's unique strategy of riding those new waves.
And, personally, I love that he has always kept the company debt free no matter what.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • It just ended. The CEO, DeNuccio, was really spilling ALL the beans on VMEM like I haven't heard at ANY other VMEM conference calls. Everything including VMEM's chances to be bought out. I HIGHLY recommend you listen to it if you did not catch it live. The bottom line is that it WAS extremely bullish sounding. As always though, this investment is going to take some patience for the real payoff.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
