China, the biggest importer and user of met coal now has a ban on non low sulpher met coal.
Australia's mining companies are NERVOUS and extremely worried about this new China policy.
97% of WLT's met coal meets the China qualifications!
This is a big deal for WLT waiting to unfold.
The fact that WLT's met coal is the highest quality met coal in the entire world is
why WLT is NOT going to go bankrupt.

  • That's in STABLE areas like USA, Canada, UK. That's at prices for met coal of between $100 and $300 per ton of selling prices. Granted it is not profitable, currently, below about $140 per ton. Surely the price will eventually get back to 140 and higher. WLT's coal is also the very highest quality in the entire world, yielding the least amount of pollution possible. And, the company can be bought out at the current stock price, including paying off all the debt, for only about $3 billion!! This is a STRONG BUY right now. Steel production is not going away in your lifetime. We will always need steel for the infrastructure, like bridges, and for buildings, etc. Some entity, like China, or maybe a large steel producer, or maybe a large car maker, could secure a safe, high quality, met coal source for years and years and for peanuts by buying WLT.
I believe that even if WLT had to declare chapter 11 that the stock price is worth more than $1!!!
    I'm BUYING down here.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • PEP can not just let KO run away with the at home market with GMCR. That's the way I see it. Sooner rather than later I expect to hear an announcement from PEP/SODA that will propel SODA up $10 in one day.

Yeah, but OXGI would probably have to go up to 200 for TEVA to recoup the $27 million payment they're about to make plus all the clinical study expenses they already paid. Don't forget that TEVA could also make money as a shareholder if apatorsen works. If TEVA keeps the stock. Will be interesting to see if they keep the stock.

You asked, "Does Teva own any OncoGenex stock now?"
In December 2009 when OGXI signed their agreement with TEVA, TEVA bought $10 million
worth of OGXI stock "at a premium to the current price."
The price in Dec 2009 was between $20 and $30. So TEVA probably paid about $30 per share!
I believe they still own the shares. $10 million divided by $30 is about 333,000 shares.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • They are NOT in as dire a condition as is being portrayed by the media.
Over $1 billion in current assets and about $3 billion total debt.
With their high quality assets in the USA ground and met coal prices at unsustainably
low prices, refinancing in a few years wil NOT be very difficult imho.
I've been accumulating at 1.50 and below and expect to make a LOT of money over the next year
or two. Very confident and little fear. Management did make one huge mistake when they
overpaid for that Canadian mine but it's more than fully reflected in the stock
price. They could sell that asset at a huge loss and still get enough cash to be just about
debt free. You're all being misled into missing a buy of the year. Of course,
IMHO. Buying much more on Friday. Can't wait.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
