Up state NY is the same way. Over taxing and regulations have driven out business so now they have tax free for 10 year areas along with incentives for new businesses. That's plenty of time to move in make some money then fold.
Government can not make "business" then can only drive it away.
No idea where that 45K number comes from. From the beginning the Model X was said to be a little more then the Model S.
Think the poster is confused over the Gen3 ?????
Right now it's neither overbought or oversold. Technically neither side is favored at the moment.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
I'm a prefect guy for a Volt. I drive maybe 8K miles a year almost all near home. Problem is the Volt would suck for a trip and around town I wouldn't be caught dead in it.
BTW I know a guy who owns a VW diesel that gets over 45 MPG. He drives a lot on the highway but his car is much more useful then a Peeis.
Are you really going to force me to do the math on the statement you just made??? Because I will. 48K????? Yeah.....
Just look at high end car sales over the last 10 years, there's your base number of people who can afford a Model S. The base number of people who can afford and are willing to buy a $80-100K car is limited. It's a figure that is easy to figure out, it's not like Tesla showed up and a million people all of a sudden are going to buy that expensive of a car. Everyone who owns a Tesla Model S also owns a high end ICE car, no doubt in my mind about that. The Tesla is just a toy to play with for a while.
Look at Virgin Galactic, last I saw 500 people put down a deposit for a $250K space trip.......space trip???? Another, look what I did type of thing. I could blow a quarter million much more creatively. I actually like what Sir Richard is trying to do butt I won't be financing his vision of the future. He too hit the government up for money for the "spaceport". Other then that he has come up with private money so good luck to him. That "spaceport" wasn't cheap.
Elon is snaking his way into a lot of government money, not directly but taxes etc. are a huge part of his scheme. Private sector is kicking in a bunch stock wise etc. If he succeeds then more power to him and the money was well spent, problem is I don't think that's how this will work out. I think a giant fire ball is where this ends up and the money people won't get hurt they rarely do. The common guy on the street???????
Oil conflicts???? The problem is there is a lot of oil where savages live. Should just let the savages kill each other till one wins then kill them if they look at us funny.
BTW I don't care at all about the savages, one is just like the others.
Depends, some places are much more expensive then others.
You should be asking why we're using so much water to make ethanol then???? 10% of all the gas is distilled corn with water........that's a huge amount of water.
Understand customers???? It's simple, there are very few people who can afford a $80K-$100K car. Gas savings??? How about deprecation?? Gas prices are nothing compared to how much money you are spending every day on deprecation.
Minimum thousand dollars a month just gone whether you drive the car or not.
I would say the people buying the MS don't care about gas prices. Of course if gas prices go down and people forget about it that makes the Tesla less holy and therefore less trendy.
NY is another money grab state with their economic zones or whatever they call it. No taxes plus incentives.
Elon is really working it. LOL
You mean a health 25 year old guy doesn't want to $270 a month for insurance that cover pregnancy or peoples pace makers???
All I know is way back when I had a health insurance policy that was a straight up $2500 deductible and after that they paid for everything up top a million dollars. I swear it cost something like $360 every 6 months. That's right they billed me every 6 months because it wasn't a huge amount of money.
