yeah, good volume on Friday, lots of Canadian gold miners are soaring, MEAOF was up 10% on Friday, ICGQF was up more than that, this sector is in full breakout mode, we are fundamentally a Canadian gold miner with operations pending in Mexico, that's really my kind of company, gold and silver in mexico and canada, led by brad cooke and catalin, ok, yeah, i'm sort of a pumper, been a perma-bull for the duration, GLTA
CS, think you are right there about how this finally comes unstuck, could see a really big move here, wouldn't take much for it to pop 100% (eight whole cents), can't see bailing at this point, may even have to buy more
missed the BAA move, good job on that one williams
bought ICGQF on 3/23 for under 34 cents, on 4/29 it closed over 56 cents,
got a similar thing going on with PVG,
really like Canadian gold stocks, even the laggards like this one, oh well
Anyway, this sector is something to behold, Silver is on fire... GLTA
agreed, I'm not planning on selling any shares this year
the sector is breaking out, we will have our turn
I'm not selling any MEAOF shares either
but glad I got other stuff besides just those two
like ICGQF, bought it 2-3 months ago, it's almost doubled
CANARC owns NP in Canada, they don't have to find an elephant
they already got one
lot of shares, more than 400 Million, and they never seem to focus on making money,
only on generating buzz so they can issue more shares,
yeah, there's lots of gold in the ground, just no ability to get it to market, very sad
but management could change, it will change at some point, humans have a limited life-span
and gold could go much much higher, either of those things could happen, and each will happen
hard to say when exactly...
The folks unloading are some of the poor suckers like myself who just could NOT take the pain anymore.
I can take it, so still on board, but man this sucks!
Look at a long-term chart, this is the worst stock in the world. GLTA
yeah, go with it, silver is dragging gold higher, and SSRI is dragging CLGRF higher
so go with it, get over it, you know i guess unless you are allergic to silver
Sentiment: Strong Buy
the valuations can go up and down with the market, it doesn't take much of a move in silver or gold to move the valuation in a big way; sort of like buying a house, it always gets appraised for the purchase price
this stock is so cheap that it flies under the radar... for now
yeah scup, hard to keep a good thing down, silver is going to go much higher, the banksters want to crush silver, well they already have, it's not going to go to zero
a storm is brewing and it will take silver a lot higher, and gold will follow
Hey, saw that we are going to acquire True Gold, which will start mining 100 to 110 Au oz per year starting very soon. You can google it to get the details. I tried to post a new topic to that effect, but it wouldn't let me. Interesting times. This stock is going much higher. JMO GLTA
Can someone give me the 10,000 ft version of this story? when do you see them becoming profitable ?
Good question, maybe if gold goes to $2000 these guys could make a buck, maybe. That's what I'm hoping. But somehow they are still around, not sure how exactly. There's a lot of gold in Bachelor lake, and they have discovered some ore near surface near their mine, and they got another nearby property called Berry, which eventually they will develop, but its been a long miserable experience for me and this stock. Most are waiting for another company to buy us out, most are underwater.
Hey Mike, check out ICGQF, it's got a nice looking chart, or LRTNF, that property used to be owned by Claude.
Or another favorite of mine is CRCUF, Canarc Resources. PVG looks good to me, You might check out RIC.
Hey Ed, here's a few silver companies that I follow,
ASM, Avino, they mine silver in Mexico, and they are profitable
SVCMF, Silvercorp, they mine in China, I own some shares of it, it has potential
SVMLF, Silvercrest, have owned shares of it before, it might be worth a look
SAM.TO, Starcore International, they mine in Mexico, they have solid management and are profitable, i have had shares of it for many years, they are a survivor, they also operate a toll mill and own some moly properties
And there's CRCUF, it's worth a look, it's very cheap, has very nice assets, and the management is led by Bradford Cooke, he knows a thing or two about mining silver...
PVG, Pretium Resources, they have huge silver resources in their Snowfield property, plus huge gold and silver assets in their Brucejack project, they are going to be HUGE, and that CEO is the old SSRI head honcho, he's one of the best
GPL, they are like a mini EXK, with mines in Guanajuato and Durango, that CEO is good, but like EXK better
there's AUNFF, Aurcana, it has property in Texas, and plans to one day be a silver miner, it's very volatile, not sure why i follow it
there's HL, used to own it, but switched over to EXK in 2009 or so, their management runs the company for their own benefit, but they do mine a lot of silver, and gold, and they are cheap
There's SSRI, I will be a shareholder when my CLGRF shares transfer over
there's AG and MAG Silver and lots of others I don't follow at all
lots of fish in the sea
if EXK does get bought out, it might not be a bad thing, might just be the best thing ever in fact, will have to wait and see GLTA
probably so, either way, he's not worth listening to, just put him on ignore, don't let him push your buttons
this stock is coming back in a big way, doubt they put El Cubo on care and maintenance, it will be profitable if silver goes up any more, and it's going to go up a lot more,
mine #4 will be big, will start of modestly but will ramp up, and the company might purchase something in Parral to make mine #5, or maybe something else, whatever, you can bet they are thinking about what happens after Terronera. GLTA.
hey classic258, i've been in for just a few years, not so long as you, yeah, i remember the deals that went sour, those were received with irrational exuberance, and then when the deals collapsed, so did the share price, i bought a whole lot of Canarc shares and then sold most of them at least once, but always kept a core position, always kept an eye on the company.. I started buying back shares in a big way when they announced the Oro Silver deal. Been in EXK since 2008 or 2009, and I'm a believer in Brad, I've drunk the kioolaid. CRCUF is my biggest holding. The market can't really value the company, because their main asset is New Polaris. The company has more gold in the ground than any ten cent gold miner out there, at least that I know of. MEAOF has a lot of gold in the ground, but they don't have Bradford Cooke. The price will start moving when commercial production commences. And if/when Gold and Silver start moving higher, then that will also move the stock. Anyway, GLTA.
The shares will convert to SSRI shares, and then we will be on a major exchange, right?
Silver is busting out, the gold silver ratio has come off it's recent peak, it dropped under 85, then 80, then 75, and now is closing in on 70. So exposure to that is what we get with the merger. And it's going to get even hotter. Almost makes me want to buy another silver coin, but you can't eat silver, there is that.
yeah, this stock is going to be HUGE gold and silver are breaking out, especially silver, and the company will mine a lot of Gold and Silver
check out ICGQF, they announced some really nice drill results this morning, they will large, not huge, but the stock is under fifty cents, so you can ride that one up if you feel like you are late to the party
and for the fearless, there's CRCUF, its run by Bradford Cooke, an ex-HL guy, he's got the vision thing, that stock is priced at ten cents, and the stock will just drift higher and higher... GLTA
HL is undervalued, but the problem is the management with HL. Listen to a conference call and judge for yourself. HL is run for the benefit of the folks running HL. It's not like with some of the other silver miners. I think silver represents great value, and I own EXK and SSRI. Think that PVG will be huge, and HL will always be undervalued, for a reason. Plus the US gov't punishes its PM miners, that's why HL owns a superfund site...
But yeah, think that HL will go much much higher, just not my favorite. GLTA
sold most of my PPP a while back, may buy back in if the price keeps dropping, don't like that they hedge all the silver, they could sell the silver for $$$ and avoid the tax issue, but think the tax thing gets resolved, and think they will mine a lot of gold, and if the price of gold keeps rising, they got other projects they can bring online quickly, it's a risk, but worth keeping an eye on, IMO it's worth more than $1.70 a share, the proof: it closed at $1.71 today!
It just broke ten cents. It's Canarc Resources, Bradford Cooke's other company. He cofounded Canarc Resources prior to him starting up EXK. He has now returned to his first company as the Chairman, they bought a mine in Zacatecas Mexico, they recently leased a mill, they arranged financing, and now for not much initial investment, they will be mining gold and silver this year. It's still cheap, right around ten cents, worth a look. The horse is still mostly in the barn. Best part: They got very good management, and that's not JMO. GLTA
