don't just assume and confirm that is right. If USU was going to zero or if this is not related to LEU, why would it still trade in a stock market? USEC company owns these shares and allow them to be traded right? So if they know this stock is worthless starting today, why in the world its trading?
I guess members on this board don't like you as you might have pumped a lot than needed. Or may be your speculation was way too wrong. Whatever you post, you are getting thumps down..post something that will help instead of just commenting for every post, just a suggestion. Don't bark on me please.
Most of them have discussed about the price of LEU. But there is no answer to it yet. That is a million dollar question.
But here is my speculative answer ..currently the market cap of USU is 5MM. When I look at other orgs in the same sector which are trading have a market cap of 150MM. 5% of 150MM is what I will be looking for all of the current common shares 5MM shares. So there are lot of chances the LEU shares could be $1.5 as per this theory based on the market cap of $150.
1. Longs who own USU will be entitled to LEU shares, similarly shorts who shorted USU will also be a short LEU. I think this will be the lowest that you can cover.
2. If you buy USU stocks for these three days, you will still get LEU shares after T+3 days. Because you will be buying USU plus one 'due bill'
The common shares will trade on a "due bill" basis from two trading days prior to the record date to the payment date, inclusively (the "due bill period"). Any trades that are executed on NASDAQ/NYSE during this period will be identified to ensure purchasers of XX's common shares receive the entitlement to the share dividend.
Disclosure: I am not an expert and will not take any responsibility. Do you research :)
Thanks for the response. Another question
Holders of record as of September 29 do not need to take any action
Does this mean, buyers/owners of the stock at a later date need to take some action?
you seem to be a famous figure on this board. Can you explain my question
Is holders of record and settlement date both mean same? Why many are concerned about settlement date while the filing says holders of record.
Below is the definition from investopedia
Definition of 'Holder Of Record'
The name of the person who is the registered owner of a security and who has the rights, benefits and responsibilities of ownership. The holder of record for a stock typically has shareholder voting rights and receives dividend payouts if there are any. The holder of record for a bond owns the bond and receives the principal and interest payments. When the owner sells the security, he or she ceases to be the holder of record.
Definition of 'Settlement Date'
1. The date by which an executed security trade must be settled. That is, the date by which a buyer must pay for the securities delivered by the seller.
