Smart members of the 1% don't want the 99% so desperate that they revolt. That's why a wealthy man-Franklin Roosevelt-protected the masses from starvation and destitution. He was the guy who saved capitalism after it failed.
Like all permabears, you are highly consistent, but not reality based. Do you actually have real money invested in your shorts and puts? Have you had real money invested in these items for the last five years?
I agree with you completely. Gold's main value is that it is shiny and makes nice jewelry. Bitcoin doesn't even have that. Bitcoin promoters will be profiled on American Greed in a few years, being hunted by the Feds.
Great call as usual, my friend. If you keep this up long enough, one day even you will be right. (Although for thousands of days you've been wrong.)
I can't wait!
If the workers at Walmart don't join a union and fight for their rights, then they deserve to be treated like the suckers they are.
In the early sixties, Thomas spoke at my college. He was a very old man, and it was somewhat hard to understand him. He warned us that the Viet Nam war was a threat to the health and safety of young people. He said, you are the ones who are going to fight it, and it's going to be a disaster.
He was certainly right.
I'll give you an interesting one. John Hinckley-the guy who shot Reagan-had a wealthy father who was a Colorado oil man and big financial backer of George H.W. Bush. If Reagan had died, Bush would have become president. I often wondered why no one pursued that angle.
Wasn't Stockman the architect of Reaganomics? Remember: Big taxes cuts for the rich, big benefit cuts for the poor and middle class, and wild spending on defense. That was the start of large peacetime deficit spending in the United States. David Stockman is just another crackpot.
Cisco builds network switching equipment that runs the internet. Ed Snowden showed that most of that equipment is wiretapped by the US government. Foreign countries no longer want to buy equipment that will compromise their national security.
I certainly hope so.
The market was also great under Bill Clinton. Markets always do better under Democrats.
What have you been doing for the last five years? Have you missed out on this incredible market move? Be cautious at this point. Most stocks are highly priced, although they certainly could go higher.
