Nobody can make me stay updated. I will continue to use my 2008 photoshop program. Stupid company is trying to hold their customers hostage by using cloud.
And they're off to a great start with their customer service. On the adobe website, some rep answered a myth with a myth. The presume myth was that price will rise once you're sign on. Not true they say. One of their reason was that competition will drive down prices so rate will decrease not rise. I started thinking if they're so sure monthly rate will decrease in the future, wouldn't they be offering some sort of plan to hedge for the lower rate? For example 5 year plan at $20 a month. So if rate decrease to $15 a month, they would be in the black. Of course theres a 1% chance rate will decrease and 99% it will rise so why bother hedging.
The other answer they have to a consumer question was monthly payment is the wave of the future. Get used to it, They said you pay your rent monthly, cable bills monthly, monthly lease on your car, house etc.. so why is what they're doing such a concern?
Whatever app facebook is trying to bring to the smartphone, just make sure it is fast and secure and people will come. facebook home for smartphone shoule be like the google search page for smartphone. Don't be like yahoo homepage wheres theres so much stuff going on and so much adobe codes on the site that slow down the site and drain memory and battery life.
With cloud service, you are giving Adobe and the whole wide world access to your files and personal information. If you read the fine print, Adobe is not responsible for lost files, personal file or information being stolen, your computer getting hacked and infected and you have to do a clean install, etc..
I may be wrong but I don't think computer security is ready for cloud computing.
Doesnt' matter. When you subscribe to CC, you're giving Adobe access to your personal computer. They can secretly data mine your computer and track what you're doing on your computer.
Why not BBY.
What do you guys think of it? I like my bed cool and soft in the summer time! In the winter time, warm and soft.
Adobe will find out that once customers switch, its hard to get those customers back. Look at corel and quark. They used to be the heavyweights and screw their customers over. Well, now their pricing and customer service is way better than adobe & everyone is switching to them. Even with adbe new lower subscription price and 3 year commitment at the lower price, people are skeptical.
Do you think its a good idea?
