BLRX is an Israeli company that partners with research universities to bring new research, compounds, etc. to market. The research project that failed was bought by BLPH from BLRX for about $17 million. BLRX put aprox. $10 million into their initial development. The drug was actually a matrix that was injected into a person's heart after he/she had a major heart attack. The idea was the matrix would support the damaged area of the heart and keep the heart from destructive remodeling until the heart could heal. Then the matrix would dissolve. The project did not reach a statistical improvement, so BLPH took a big hit. BLRX, on the other hand, actually lost only some potential residuals. BLRX has a couple of very good projects in the hopper, and Novartis recently took a stake in the company in exchange for the right to co-develop three compounds. BLRX dropped around 40 cents, but I think that is overdone. When Novartis picks a compound I expect the stock will pop nicely. Oh, by the way, BLRX has a pretty good chunk of money to fund its research.
I voted for George Bush in his first election. I thought he was a good guy, and I liked his dad. I was very disappointed in Bush because he played while Cheney and the neocons ran the show. I think Bush finally figured out that he was just a pawn for Cheney, and I believe that led to a bit of a break in their relationship toward the end of his second term. I never voted for Obama. I wrote in Ron Paul in the first election because I wanted a change. McCain was a hero of mine, but he seemed to change after GW bashed him in the primaries. I just couldn't vote for McCain when he was willing to put Sarah Palin a heartbeat away from becoming president. I did not vote for Romney or Obama in the last election either. Romney was probably a good candidate if he had he courage to run on his accomplishments. His desire for healthcare for all as a governor was something I admired. When he tried to cave to the conservative wackos, I believe he hurt himself with the general public. I believe I wrote in Ron Paul again. I am not a Hillary fan, and the Republicans I like are way down in the polls, so I don't know who I like at this point. I think the best candidate for the Dems. would be Gov. Mario Cuomo, but he doesn't appear to have an interest in running.
Ted Cruz just recently called Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell a liar. Trump is a an arrogant buffoon, but he has more appeal and talent than Cruz. By the way, doesn't it bother you that Cruz was born in Canada to a father who fought beside Fidel Castro. His ancestry sounds much worse than Obamas. LOL! Can't wait for the spectacle of the Fox debates.
The tea partiers just cannot help themselves. They tend to gravitate to the most extreme candidate, and the general electorate just won't buy it. What's left of the mainstream GOP has lost the coconuts to stand up to the wackos.
Some guy wrote that nominating Trump would be as bad as letting Clint Eastwood speak unscripted to an empty chair on your party's last convention night. Now that's a prediction that I find amusing. We all know how that worked out.
Trump with the highest negatives of any candidate, Republican or Democrat. The fact that he has the support of the rabid tea partiers will only hurt credible Republican candidates. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 61% of the public view him negatively. So sad that you guys are trying to pump up a so seriously flawed candidate.
Keep pushing the Trumpster. I predict he will make a real jerk of himself in the first debates. All you tea partiers who support his nonsense are hurting the eventual credible candidate the Republicans may come up with. Trump only cares about himself and he will bring every Republican candidate down with him if he can't win the nomination. Can you imagine him insulting world leaders, even our major allies! Why not! He is insulting just about any Republican who doesn't believe his off the wall antics. He criticizes illegals, but his building sites were accused of using them on various occasions. If he can't police his own building sites, how could he police our borders! He criticizes vets. who were captured as losers. Wow, the military will just love working for Trump if he were to get elected. He talks about how dangerous it was for him to visit Laredo. He will probably wet his pants if he had to drop in on Iraq or Afghanistan. Never mind that he chose deferments and was reportedly declared 4F so he couldn't serve in Vietnam. He has had numerous bankruptcies associated with his companies. As he gets older, his wives keep getting younger. He was adamantly pro choice, but suddenly he is pro life. He is a total caricature of a real person.
I did buy a couple of hundred shares, but the stock rebounded so quickly I missed the bid. Hate when I let a couple of pennies screw up an order when I really like the stock. Oh, well, I already own a good chunk of shares, so I made out fairly nicely when the loss was cut in half so far. I wouldn't be surprised to see BLRX get up close to $2 by the close.
I plan on buying more. Remember, Novartis just took a stake and has the right to select three compounds to develop. Novartis would not invest in a company without serious potential. Although this heart matrix failed, it appears BLRX did not lose $ except the potential payments if it had been approved. When Novartis picks its first compound, anyone who bought below $2 should be feeling good. But what do I know!
Unfortunate news, but not vital to long range plans. Reportedly invested 10 million prior to licensing agreement and got 17 million under licensing agreement. Not bad for a drug that failed.
I am stating what Trump said. You don't have to make #$%$ up with someone like Trump. He does it for you. LOL. I luv it when some of you guys desperately try to validate this caricature of a presidential candidate. Quite pathetic. I can't play anymore, so have a good weekend.
Trump. He said "someone" said he would be in danger. He wouldn't name the source. Like our border guards aren't in danger every day! When Trump belittles heroic guys like McCain and then "trumps" up this danger business he looks like a pompous wimp. He was surrounded by press, police, and body guards the whole time. If he is afraid to visit a relatively peaceful town like Laredo, lets see how he does on dropping in on Iraq and Afghanistan.
Murders and crime in general are a very complex issue. The point I made was that most mass shootings have be committed by deranged white men in recent years. Why? I don't know, but they seem to want to kill a lot of people before they take their own lives. Shame.
Hey, I hope you supporters of Trump get him nominated. It would teach the GOP a hard lesson they will have to learn sooner or later.
You could have also had numerous people shooting wildly as most people were confused in the dark about what was going on. Most people don't want to have to carry guns anyway.
