"Hugging the Marxist" wasn't as bad as his man hug of Jerry Jones. If he was a Democrat, you would have probably questioned his sexual identity. Hey, the "Marxist" has done quite well with the American economy and the stock market. Think back to the desperate shape we were in six years ago. By the way, I am not buying that you care about the avg. guy who is working a couple of jobs to get by. If you did, you would be in favor of raising middle class wages and making health ins. affordable. Time for supper.
Fraz, google Todd Christie and his insider trading case. See what you find. Should make interesting headlines in the primaries.
Hey, Fraz, wasn't the state trooper who was driving Corzine's car a Republican? Not that it would matter to you. I never defended Corzine anyway. I was just pointing out facts about Christie. You seem to want to switch the conversation when you can't counter the facts that someone else presents. Rather pathetic debating skills. Hey, I am surprised you didn't mention that Corzine was accused of screwing investors out of millions dollars. That fact that he apparently ruined his reputation has nothing to do with Christie's failures. If Corzine was running for president, I wouldn't vote for him either. Christie has a record to run on, and it is pathetic. Why would we want to make him president! I guess you would overlook his failures because he is a Republican. My point is that I hope Republicans can come up with a better candidate. If I haven't said enough about Christie to prove my point, check out how his brother got a special deal concerning some very questionable business activities when Christie was a US attorney.
I like the fact that he wants to reform our tax system, reduce our role as the world's policeman, and keep the government out of our personal lives. Should be interesting to see how seriously a run for the nomination he can make.
Christie's approval rating is in the 35% range. He has had over six years to do something, anything. His claim to fame was that he badmouthed teachers and got them to accept reduced pension benefits and increased healthcare costs. He promised to begin slowly making the state's contributions into the pension fund. He broke his agreement with the teachers before the second payment. He was so sure his agreement would solve the pension woes that he gave the teachers the right to sue the state if he reneged on his promise. Low and behold, the teachers sued and Christie was ordered by the court to make the payments. He is now appealing again, even though the payment is due shortly. As I see it, a man is only as good as his word. In this case, Christie made an agreement, bragged about how great he was in making the agreement, and then he broke the agreement because it was ill thought out and unconstitutional. Like I said, it show's Christie is a poor leader whose word is questionable at best. With all the problems NJ has, the one plus is the state's educational system which ranks in the top couple of states nationwide. Christie couldn't get elected governor now, and I doubt he will garner more than token support if he decides to run.
Highest taxes in the nation. 8 credit downgrades. Crumbling infrastructure. Bridgegate. Numerous advisers and appointees being investigated and possibly indicted. Jerry Jones only "friendship" being scrutinized. Hurricane Sandy relief pathetic. Smart aleck attitude toward ordinary citizens, etc. His biggest failure was his state pension reform law which he is now appealing in court because he said it was ill thought out and unconstitutional. Says a lot about his judgment when he claimed it was a miracle cure just a little over two years ago.
Frost knows what he has in OPKO, and he knows what his plans are for the company. That tells me that he is buying just about every day because he is confident that he is going to drive the share price much higher. Whether he takes it private, sells out to a larger pharma, or explores other strategic options, I will leave the details up to him. He has made me a good chunk of change so far, and I expect he will continue to do so. I am confident in letting my money ride with Frost because he has put a large part of his fortune into this company and continues to regularly add. IMHO.
The replies from shorts on this message board seem to get more frantic as OPKO shares climb. End the pain guys, and close out your positions before your loses get even worse. You don't want to be the last short to cover. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Remember, you have to save your strength because we still have close to 18 months to go. I imagine you will develop carpal tunnel syndrome from all the typing you will do.
$14 has proven to be a nice support level in recent weeks no matter whether the market is up or down. It should prove to be a nice launching pad at the slightest hint of coming good news. IMHO.
