Now that the British have made their decision, the rest of the world can watch the results. Judging by the world markets' initial reactions, prospects don't look good.
Sad, but many older folks get very selfish. They forget that the younger generation has the burden to bear their medical costs and subsidize their living expenses. Bernie has drawn out the young voters, so even though he will not get the nomination, he will have done a great service for our country and future generations.
No wonder Trump appeals to a less educated base. Anyone who does blue collar and unskilled labor should realize that when Trump had a choice to hire them or go overseas and hire foreigners making slave wages, he chose to hire the foreigners. He helped weaken the US job market for them so he could stuff his pockets with profits. To think they believe his rhetoric rather than judge him by his actions, just shows that they are extremely gullible.
It is at the lowest level since 2003. Deems the facts.
If he doesn't, he is going to look like a bigger hypocrite than he already does. If he keeps his promise to put a 35% tariff on companies that produce overseas, he will have to do that to his own companies.
Britain has always been our best ally. They even got sucked in by Cheney and Bush into invading Iraq. As for the British being big fans of Trump, don't forget that over a half a million British people signed a petition to ban Trump from entering the US because of his hate speech.
He replaced it with a kiosk selling his campaign merchandise. Evidently Trump forgot he got building concessions in return for installing the bench. The man never misses an opportunity to try to make a buck.
Economic forecasts say the working classes of Britain are going to be hit hard because of wage pressures and inflation. Analyst said they may have a very different view of things in the coming months. But, then, it is their decision, and they will have to live with it. I took advantage of the market drop to pick up some bargains. What they do in Britain doesn't matter to me.
Trump has always been a taker. One of the many reasons he probably won't release his tax returns is because it will reveal his exaggeration of his charitable giving. He contributes other peoples' money through his charitable foundation, but I bet he doesn't give much of his own.
Well, the American people aren't sympathetic as they see the GOP cry babies too frightened to stand up to the NRA and the gun lobbyists to protect the American people from terrorists and mentally disturbed individuals. Vote the cry babies out in November. They are LOSERS!
Throw in the need to fill Supreme Court seats, and I predict a record voter turnout. With minority voters often neglecting to vote in higher percentages than whites, if they turnout this time Hillary and Dems will have a very big victory.
franco doesn't sweat facts. He just makes it up as he goes. :)
Looks like Hillary will get the vast majority of those votes thanks to today's no decision by the Supreme Court. The next president will get to nominate the next Supreme Court justice, and everyone knows his or her vote will make the decision 5 - 4 either way. A lot is at stake, and Hispanics know it.
NJ, run by Chris Christie for 7 years, has one of the most unfounded pension plans in the nation. Christie got public workers to accept a reform plan he devised and in return he was going to pay part of the state's pension obligation. He broke his word and did not honor the terms of the plan he negotiated. Why? Well he said the plan, his plan, was ill thought out and unconstitutional. Sure sounds like Christie would be a perfect match for Trump as VP. He doesn't think things out, he doesn't know the Constitution, and his word is worthless!
Like the gun issue, the immigration issue will be a big factor in the coming election. Just read where 750,000 Latino immigrants became citizens this year. The GOP may be pleased with themselves today, but come November, the tables will be turned. Like the gun issue, a majority of American voters favor a path to citizenship for decent, hard working immigrants who are willing to pay a fine and get on the end of the line to citizenship. Today's news was sad for Latinos, but it will drive their turnout for Hillary in November.
I am sure all the US workers whose pensions lost money from their Trump casino investments will see your logic. NOT!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, but he made money. I know because I live in NJ, and I had invested in his Trump casinos. I took a bath, but he came out smelling like a rose because he let the buyers use his name.
It sure will be interesting to learn that some of those expensively priced clothing items he sells here are made by Bangladesh workers making 30 to 40 cents and hour, working 50 hours a week. That should endear him to our blue collar workers, and expose him as the hypocrite that he is.
This sit-in is about fighting for the will of the people. Ryan and the GOP are cowards because they would vote for what they believe in. Not voting is the same as voting against these protective measures. I hope they pay for it at election time.
