It costs a lot and does some complicated things like high risk pools, turning over Medicaid to the states, doesn't guarantee ins. for people with pre-existing health issues, tax credits based on income, etc. It eliminates the sources of funding in the Affordable Healthcare program, so Walker would have to figure out where he would get the money for his plan. But, hey, at least he has released a "plan." People will be able to compare what works best for them.
Pretty demented analogy which is not shared by mainstream Republicans. That's the problem with Trump. He has this star appeal, but most people know he would be a disaster as president. Oh well, the longer you guys build him up, the more likely he will feel compelled to run as a third party candidate when the "normal" GOP candidates begin to drop out and unite behind someone like Bush, Rubio, etc. Trump will most likely never get more than 30% of the GOP faithful, so his chance of getting the party's nomination is next to nil. If he feels "betrayed" by the GOP, his ego and his wallet are big enough to encourage him to become a third party candidate. "Can't Trump the Trump."
Since it will cost many billions to round up the millions of illegal immigrants and send them back, Trump's plan needs some refinement. Where will all that money come from if not from a deportation tax of some sort? Since the vast majority of illegal immigrants follow our laws, work, and pay their taxes, coming up with a plan to allow the good ones to pay a penalty and get on line for citizenship makes sense based on this Gallop poll from six days ago. Trump's stand on immigration appeals to the most radical of the GOP, and will likely cause the party some real difficulty in 2016. If Trump were to get rid of the millions of illegals, can you imagine all the minimum wage agricultural, construction, landscaping, home healthcare, roofing, paving, masonry jobs, etc. we would have to fill. Oh, Trump could just invite the illegals back and call them guest workers! LOL. Interesting that Trump has this grand immigration plan even though his construction sites were accused of having illegal working issues. Trump's answer reportedly was that he just hired the contractors and they had the responsibility of making sure their workers were legal. Very convenient.
Fraz, I can just picture you and your buddies adopting Hispanic children. LOL. If you did, the kid would probably grow up stigmatized forever. Would Trump allow such an option though? Why should Americans be adopting the children of illegal immigrant rapists of American women when so many American kids are stuck in our foster care system.
Trump says many of the millions of illegal immigrants are criminals and rapists. OK, so what does he do with the children these rapists must be fathering? Since Trump is "now" against abortion, I guess he would force American women who were raped to bear these children. Since their fathers were illegal, what would the status of these children? Would they be legal or illegal? Yes, their mothers would be American, but they didn't consent to have these children. Would these children be sent back alone or allowed to stay? The rapist fathers certainly wouldn't take responsibility for their children. Would these violated women have to raise these children that would be a constant reminder of their being raped by illegal immigrants. Would the government support the child since it forced the women to have these children? No problem, Trump will get his plan figured out in a couple of years. Maybe Dennis Rodman or Gary Bucey could serve as a czar to think through this problem. LOL
I don't favor abortions, but I do think it should be a family decision when the life of the mother is involved. Rape and incest are two other areas that I think should be left to the families. Therefore, I am consistent in wanting medical care from birth to death, just like all the other major industrialized countries in the world have. Medical costs are not going up because more people are getting healthcare. They are skyrocketing because we live longer and have every kind of expensive test and drug at our disposal if we have insurance. Medicare costs are draining the government because individuals almost never pay in anywhere near what they will draw out in their old age. The GOP better have a plan before they tell 24 million Americans they will no longer have health insurance.
These guys are fully in the know. If they are not buying, that tells me something.
path to citizenship for illegals. Trump's plan is estimated to cost many billions and years to achieve, if achievable. He has no idea how to fund his plan. Oh yea, he could always make Mexico pay for it! LOL! I guess he could raise our taxes. Then we would pay double since most of our landscaping, roofing, masonry, paving, home healthcare, restaurant help, etc., are done by immigrants. The GOP is tripping over itself to discredit the Donald, but his tee pee supporters remain solidly behind him. This Republican primary will be one for the history books!
The country is unhappy with everyone. The approval rating of the Republican congress is in the single digits. Food for thought. Our country deserves the likes of Trump. Sometimes things have to get a lot worse before they get better. Hopefully Trump doesn't fire nukes at Mexico. LOL!
TSRO has gone up nicely.
Trump is not a real Republican nor a Democrat for that matter. If Trump gets elected, he will present his agenda, and thumb his nose at any "loser", "captured vet." or anyone else who gets in his way. It is sad that the American public's view of all politicians is so negative in general that they would give a selfish egotist like Trump even a chance to become president. Maybe four years of a real lunatic in the oval office will snap both parties back to reality. I am not holding my breath.
Hey, rebecca, the past week was tough, but I have made many thousands on biotechs over the years. I don't remember you warning me, but thanks anyway. LOL!
I believe Trump did tell CNN that he believes Iran is funneling money to ISIS. If true, Trump seems to be very clueless concerning the dynamics between the Shia and Sunni sects in the Middle East. But, hey, he is popular for his delivery, not his substance. The Republican traditionalists must be pulling their hair out.
