There is a Value Walk release out that cites the March 2 edition of The Medical Letter. In short, it refers to Afrezza as being only modestly effective, and cites that the long term pulmonary safety of inhaling insulin is unknown. There is some other stuff, but this appeared to be the most negative. If I was an endocrinologist, I would find this rather alarming. For what its worth! Good luck.
Man, did I blow this one. EPRS doubled and is up again big in pre-market. Oh well, my EMC jumped a couple of bucks, but it ate up a lot of my capital to buy what I bought. At least I held onto my PFE despite Fraz's recommendations to sell. PFE has been making new highs and is paying me a great dividend to sit tight.
We were down big time yesterday in PM. It is how we end that counts. Frost has helped me make quite a bit, so I am happy to let him do his thing. Investing takes a little mental toughness and discipline.
How many biotechs have close to $400 million in cash and cash equivalents at its disposal.
Check the Form 4 that was just released. I totaled it up quickly in my head and his purchases were in the neighborhood of 45K shares. He appeared to buy right up to the high of the day. I love this guys style and belief in his company and investment. I can't believe people would short OPK when Frost is putting his knowledge and billions behind it.
Now that the earnings and conference call are out of the way, I expect the good doc will start buying OPK stock as aggressively as ever. Raladay and 4kscore look like big winners in the coming months and years. OPK should become a very attractive target for big pharma, especially PFE. Enjoy the ride.
I called in to Cramer's show and was on the air two times a few years back. I found his show to be very orchestrated. I emailed a question, and then a producer type called back to discuss my question. The first time I was on, my question was used pretty much as I emailed it in. The second time, the producer called me and tried to get me to change my question because Cramer wanted to talk about something else. I told them that my question was my question, and I wasn't going to change it. Cramer basically blew my question off on the air, and immediately went in to the topic he wanted to talk about. The guy wants you to think that he knows all there is, but from my experience with his show, his people have everything set up for him hours in advance. I haven't bother to call since, and I only watch his show for a few minutes while I channel surf for something better.
Shorts still seem to be standing out on a ledge. What exactly do they think will drive OPK shares lower? Today's news was about as positive as it can get.
I sold a couple thousand shares for a very large profit, and I bought them back on today's dip. A relative of mine worked with Dr. Frost on a previous buyout deal with SGP many years back. He clued me into the fact that Dr. Frost is a very smart doctor and a shrewd investor. I love the fact that he has been buying OPK shares hand over fist. All Frost has to do is say that he is considering strategic options for the company, and the stock would jump over $20.
Oh well, it is only money. I tripled my position under $14, and I feel very positive about OPKO's long term prospects. The 4Kscore will revolutionize how we treat prostate cancer. IMHO.
Made a tidy sum when the stock went under $14 on a very promising conference call. There is a large short position, but they have been taking it in the neck all the way up from $8.
I tripled my position under $14 bucks. I have recorded big gains in OPK, and their corporate presentation today convinced me that the company is firing on all cylinders.
Fraz, you are such a hypocrite. You were praising Putin a short while back even though he has proven to be of the same ilk as Hitler and Stalin. I was happy to see 30,000 people risk their lives in Russia to come out and stand up against his tyranny. They are far different from you who just posts nonsensical #$%$ on a message board. Move to Russia and see how you like living under your hero Putin.
I believe this is the last chance for shorts to try to catch a downdraft. Based on pre-market trading, it doesn't look like they are going to get much of a dip to cover on. Believe it or not; this could be a great day as shorts may have to claw over each other to get out.
