Analysts seem to agree that BLRX is on sale down here. I have quite a few shares and I am willing to be patient. Good luck!
I have found that many traders dump before ASCO unless they anticipate real significant news. Rehashing old research does little to inspire buying.
I bet he will make up for it later in the week!
Gov Scott of Florida tried drug testing the poor who received benefits. If they tested positive he intended to withhold their benefits. About 2% tested positive which is probably around the rate for the general population if not lower. Florida lost more money on administering the drug test than it saved on denying benefits. I believe the law was ruled unconstitutional and Florida wisely didn't appeal.
If a surveillance camera show the cops slamming on the breaks of the police van for no reason, I believe their goose is cooked. We shall see in good time. Gray was fine before the cops arrested him. They will have to reasonably explain how he sustained a broken leg, neck, and spine all on his own. Pretty hard to explain that. I believe one of the cops will cut a deal and spill the beans on the others. That's the way it works with people who participate in criminal behavior.
Funny how some people try to change the situation by throwing out all their thoughts about how the poor think they are owed a living. The issue here is that Freddie Gray died in police custody when he shouldn't have even been arrested. He suffered fatal injuries after he was shackled and defenseless. If you want to talk abuse and entitlement, I know a number of white people who abuse the system. Some are on disability when they are not really disabled. Some declare bankruptcy as often as they can, and they buy new cars in between. Sometimes I catch them raging on minorities and illegals. Glass houses, baby!
Security cameras picked up a stop of the police van that the cops involved never revealed. I speculate that the stop may have been the rough ride stop that put Freddie Gray's head into the wall with the force needed to snap his spine. If that is the case, the cops will be hard put to explain that one. Again, I am only speculating, and I will wait until the justice system sorts this out. Our justice system usually gets it right, and I am sure the cops will get the best defense money can buy.
Interesting that you should call for a Federal Case as that is what most of the families of the young black men who have been killed have called for. Hey, as long as they are held accountable for their actions, I don't care if they try them in my state of NJ. But that might take awhile as our courts are going to be busy with the Bridgegate cases concerning Christie's right hand people. One has pleaded guilty, and the others appear ready to spill their guts as they face decades of prison time. Even if Christie is not directly implicated, the fact that he appointed such people of questionable character to such high level positions shows he lacks the qualities of a leader. Throw in his man hugs of Obama and Jones, and that in itself will disqualify him from Fraz's list for homophobic reasons.
Things have settled down. The demonstrations that occurred after the indictments were of celebration that the justice system was going to give these cops their day in court.
Sounds like he has a plan. I had a deal with a comic store owner to reserve certain issues for my sons when they were young. I used it as an incentive to reward them for good behavior and good grades in school. Worked well for me, my sons, and the comic store owner. Both my sons got free rides to college. One even had his meal plan paid for him. That's why I was able to retire early and spend so much quality time chatting with you guys!
Since when did Dershowitz get to see all the evidence! He, like the rest of us, will just have to wait and let the justice system play out. The cops tried to make Freddie Gray look guilty because he had a rap sheet. Everyone knows the cops will get their day in court. If they are innocent, I expect they will be cleared. Interesting that cops don't have faith in the justice system. Sad commentary.
Nobody deserves to be killed for no reason. He had a penknife and should not even have been arrested. Just because he has a long rap sheet doesn't give rogue police the right to kill him. I don't think Gray was ever accused of killing anyone, but some of these cops appear to have killed him for no reason other than because they felt he was a slime ball. Well, hey, it looks like their actions put them in the same class or worse. If a cop can't deal with difficult people as a professional, then he/she shouldn't be cops. They had him shackled and they had no reason to give him a rough ride which appears to have killed him. Now that it appears that justice may be coming, Baltimore has settled down. All police should have body cams to protect them from false charges and to protect citizens from being mistreated.
Now that it appears the 6 indicted cops acted highly improperly if not criminally, all the bigots on this board try to condemn minorities because of high crime statistics in urban neighborhoods. It is true that poor neighborhoods tend to have higher crime rates, but, but that doesn't mean cops can act like criminals in those neighborhoods. I workout at my gym with a retired corrections officer. He said he got along well with the inmates because he always treated them decently. He told me that he hated the fact that some officers treated them poorly just because they could get away with it. This may not actually be a racial thing because some of the 6 cops could be black, but it certainly appears to be a case where these officers showed a great indifference to Freddie Gray's well being if they didn't kill him outright. If convicted, I expect they will get a "rough ride" while serving their prison terms. I hope justice prevails. I guess that makes me a socialist, leftist, extremist like just about everyone else who has a different take on things than the Tea Party Putin Fan Club.
Interesting that the actions of rogue cops led to the death of a man who reportedly had done nothing to be arrested for. The misdeeds of these cops incited people and riots and looting occurred. If cops are to be angry with anyone, they should be angry with the 6 indicted officers whose actions diminished the image of cops in general and led to a dangerous situation that caused many good cops, business owners, and innocent citizens to suffer. Hopefully, the justice system will sort through all the facts and punish everyone, bad cops, looters, socialists, Marxists, etc. The last two groups were added to appease the tea party types.
If they did nothing wrong then they have nothing to worry about. However, reasonable people have very serious questions about their handling of Freddie Gray. Their story doesn't add up and defies reason and medical possibilities. The cops didn't know security cameras were filming some of their actions, and that will seal their fate. If they are found guilty, they should have an interesting time in jail with their fellow inmates.
