The 20% rule: Options vs Buybacks...

NMB--- How about commenting on my point about whether management deserves to-- via stock option grants which management controls the doling out of-- to grant THEMSELVES nearly 20% of OUR company when they nearly BANKRUPTED us? I don't think they deserve that reward, nor in that amount, and certainly it is RARE in corporate America even among managements who DO NOT nearly bankrupt the company to see such EXCESSIVE stock option grants to the extent it reaches nearly 20% of shares outstanding.

Should read: " award itself nearly 20% of OUR company via employee stock option grants."

Does anybody else here feel at least mildly upset that ACAS senior management, after nearly BANKRUPTING our company, feels itself so worthy and deserving as to award ITSELF nearly 20% of OUR company?

    jeffy777,

You write " It reminds me of the time just before purposing to my wife, she liked me but the commitment of the engagement ring got her to really speak proudly and boldly me about me and she was committed to buy all the shares of Jeffy stock. ;). (ACAS just needs to put a ring on it!)

    Dividend

What was the total dividend paid this year? Did they pay an annual $1.00 dividend, and then a special on top of it? I am seeing $5.05, but does that include the $1.00 annual? Or is the $5.05 on top of the $1.00, bringing the total dividend paid to $6.05?

And do they pay the $1.00 in .25 cent increments each quarter, or all at one time as a $1.00 annual dividend (before any additional special dividend is paid)?

    Thanks!

    Principle,

The 1 million subscriber break even mark for the WWE Network is -- breakeven compared to their OLD model. So a combination of both PPV and WWE Network subscribers holds much profit for WWE. If PPV decline to zero, then the WWE subscriber number must get to 1 million to break even as compared to their OLD PPV model.

    That is a critical difference.

    Principal--more,

Other than BP, which I bought right into the teeth of the big oil spill panic at a cheap price with a very nice dividend yield, my positions in the energy sector are in the MLP space. Swift sounds more exciting, but I think it is hard to beat the combination of dividend, growth, and tax benefits of owning Oil/Gas MLP's when they are bought when the market is on sale in times of recession, and when one chooses those MLP's that are primarily fee based and have very little exposure to the underlying commodity prices swings of oil and gas.

Give me a quick, swift (!), summary on your thoughts on Swift Energy, Principal--more. It is unlikely I would be interested as I like much more stable plays in the energy field, but I do not know the story on Swift so I am all ears.

Good cover on your short I'd say. The combined numbers between PPV and network subscribers shows strong that WWE is over 1 million total domestic viewers alone at this point. They effectively added roughly 400,000+ new subscribers with this change in format. While some is duplicate PPV/Network subscribers, I think the GREAT BULK of the 400,000+ new purchasers comes from both the low price bringing in value buyers who don't want to pay a one time $60 fee but can finance it a $10 per month, and others who had grouped together to buy in previously via PPV but who now are watching it in their own homes via the WWE Network. When you now add the forthcoming international WWE network signups coming by end of 2014 early 2015, north of 1 million subscribers is in the bag.

The only fly in the ointment here could be any cancellations at the 6 month mark. Time will tell.

Glad to see you making money Principal--Less.

You are not a buffoon because you shorted the stock essentially where I sold it, or for your other short, you are a buffoon because of all of the garbage that spews forth from your pie hole. And you are a buffoon because you have so severely embarrassed yourself on this public message board. In your defense, I do admit that you absolutely make my day and I find great humor in observing you flail about like a 3-legged Donkey! But then everybody has their redeeming qualities.

No, Principal--Less, our past trades say A LOT about whether we are good investors or not.

Here again, you show your stupidity like a glaring beacon! You are saying that I haven't made as much in the past 4 weeks! Good God, you bleating buffoon, is there NOTHING but air circulating in that otherwise vapid and empty head of yours?

I have a killing over the past many months, and my effective sale price on 95% of my holdings is very close to the current 52 week high. Who has done better--me with my huge gains over many months or you with your gains on the short side over the past few weeks?

I am calling in a doctor to check if you have ANY brain function at all!

You are a complete embarrassment to yourself in from of all those reading this message board.

I am sure that when your mama reads your display of mental midgetry she is going to rescind your invitation to come for Christmas dinner and send you to the Salvation Army where you belong with the other nincompoops! Don't forget your soup bowl and your tin pan so you can panhandle a few coins on your walk back to the steaming grate upon which you reside!
