Overall real GDP from January 2001 through December 2008 grew at an average annual rate of 2.125%.[67] From 2001 through 2004, GDP growth was clocked at 2.35%. The number of jobs created grew by 6.5% on average. The growth in average salaries was 1.2%. Growth in consumer spending was 72% faster than growth in income. Investment in residential real-estate soared, growing 26% faster than average.[12][65]

Now we can and should do much better than Bush. His China trade policy was an epic failure.
It put downward pressure on wages and increase employment instability. But incomes did increase under Bush while they are still collapsed under Obama.

    Bush borrowed to much.

The critical thing is Obama took over while the economy was contracting. So he should have benefited from return to capacity growth.

    Look Obama truly is horrendous.

We can do better therefore should do better than GW Bush

Playing the bonds is a favorite game of the shorts. Buy up the bonds and then drive the company into bankruptcy. A cheap way to take over crown jewel assets.

So in a perverse way, the big discounts on the bonds reflect a belief by the shorts that LINE can service and refinance it's debt load. Being able to buy the debt in at a big discount further builds a barrier to the short game.

    Now poor Willie,

Your Progressive sententious material nihilism is pointless. Which is why you and the entire OLB are pointless.

The OLB refuse to watch Fox or read the WSJ and this choice results in clear and present wanton ignorance.

I see the totalitarian CHicoms are so very happy Obama is surrendering American internet control.

The man is clearly some sort of emotional mess.

Yes. The next President can quickly get to 4% growth by simply not being Obama of the economy killing pettiness.

Likely correct given Obama disgraced Kerry are going forward with the Aryan Mullah insanity.

What is going on in China is no small thing either.

Tell the people you want less consumption and the great leader got what he asked for.
Which is feeding back into their stock market.

    Bill Clinton
Median Family Income Up $6,000 since 1993: Economic gains have been made across the spectrum as family incomes increased for all Americans. Since 1993, real median family income has increased by $6,338, from $42,612 in 1993 to $48,950 in 1999 (in 1999 dollars)

Of course the Reagan performance was far superior. Which is why brilliant but either deluded or dishonest academics like the Great Ghoulsbee of Chicago have to manipulate the data. They are the only ones with the education to judge it! .

" He never visited Europe. Calhoun believed that the spread of slavery into the back country of his own state improved public morals by ridding the countryside of the shiftless poor whites who had once held the region back.[40] He further believed that slavery instilled in the whites who remained a code of honor that blunted the disruptive potential of private gain and fostered the civic-mindedness that lay near the core of the republican creed. From such a standpoint, the expansion of slavery into the backcountry decreased the likelihood for social conflict and postponed the declension when money would become the only measure of self-worth, as had happened in New England. Calhoun was thus firmly convinced that slavery was the key to the success of the American dream."

Of course the lessor whites would be subservient to the better educated landed gentry. As Jefferson foresaw and would avoid. His vision was small farms and yeomen citizens.

But repealing the law's spending cuts and tax increases would add $137 billion to the federal deficit over the coming decade, CBO said in the report issued Friday, even though almost $1.7 trillion in coverage costs would disappear. Repeal would reduce deficits in the first few years but increase them steadily as time goes on.

Repeal would up the number of uninsured people by about 24 million people, and the share of U.S. adults with health insurance would drop from roughly 90 percent now to about 82 percent, the report said."

    Poor Ron^3,

Of course we all know how bad all the CBO estimates have been. But lets forget all that.
Remember Obama bald faced lying we could keep our doctor and families would save $2.500 a year.

There is a more serious question of sustainable governance in a Republicans democratic form. Right now we truly are not.

Equity is more important than Liberty. Courts with out any limit will decide what equal is. Regardless of the peoples majority understanding.

The Temple's religious message transitioned during this period, to one treading between atheism and the subtle notion that Jones was a Christ-like figure.[15] While Temple aides complained privately, Jones said that the new message was needed to foster members' dedication to the Temple's larger goals.[15] Jones maintained such implications until the mid-to-late 1970s.

The Jim Jones comment was very ignorant. But that is what Progressives do.

    NOt this Willie Brown

    Peoples Temple investigation
Main article: Political Alliances of the People's Temple
From 1975 to 1978, Brown supported the Peoples Temple, led by Jim Jones, while it was being investigated for alleged criminal wrongdoing. Brown attended the Temple perhaps a dozen times and served as master of ceremonies at a testimonial dinner for Jones where he stated in his introduction "[l]et me present to you a combination of Martin King, Angela Davis, Albert Einstein ... Chairman Mao."[25][26][27]

Brown later said "If we knew then he was mad, clearly we wouldn't have appeared with him."[28]

Never mind Progressive politicos discovering a Progressive 'church'.

It was well known even at that post Jon Stewart date, Mao has starved million (50 million to 90 million) of Chinese people to death. Also that he was not concerned as plenty of Chinese remained.

Any American saying Rev Martin Luther King and Mao in the same sentence?

Although he feared a backlash for being a communist, Jones was surprised when a Methodist superintendent (whom he had not met through the American Communist Party) helped him into the church, despite his knowledge that Jones was a communist

Jones had previously witnessed a faith healing service at the Seventh Day Baptist Church, and concluded that such healings could attract people, and generate income, helping accomplish his social goals.[3] Jones and Temple members knowingly faked healings because they found that the increased faith generated financial resources to help the poor and finance the church.[3] These "healings" involved chicken livers and other animal tissue, claimed by Jones (and confederate Temple members) to be cancerous tissues removed from the body.[5]

In 1956, Jones bought his first church building, in a racially mixed Indianapolis neighborhood. He first named this church "Wings of Deliverance",[6] and later that year renamed it the "Peoples Temple Full Gospel Church", the first time he used the phrase "Pe

No gpd, Obama as the executive is directly responsible for the lawful, ethical. transparency and therefore accountability to the people of all government bureaucracy.

Nixon made an attempt to use the IRS against his opposing big political fish. The IRS bureaucracy at that time was honorable enough to reject his unlawful direction.

His Impeachment charges included this attempt.

When we think back to the late 1960s and completely repulsive 70's, we focus on the spoiled brat drug addled boomers. They were a huge generation cohort. But not a monolithic cohort.

There were always more volunteers serving in Vietnam than draftees. Our culture was still sound. Which was not true after the disgrace of Nixon undermining faith in our institutions and the communist victory in the battle of Nam.

However, the libertines did in time rise to take control of the Democratic Party. With their godless collectivist material nihilism secular religion as the only basis of equality. massive damage has been done. Most especially to the weakest Americans at the bottom of their political patronage system.

The shocking arrested progress of our inner city communities turned into economic, cultural and spiritual pits of great human despair. The collectivist patronage power structure successful in shaping a delusion that an unseen reality worse than Jim Crow was in force.

It is no accident that collectivist philosophy is fatally flawed. It goes against human nature rather than account for it. So it must exploit people and our nature to sustain itself. But the longer this is allowed to go on, the greater the damage.

The Americans in our inner city communities are no different than us. The working classes of all pigments are following close behind.

While Americans committed to the traditional forms are the better educated, in better physiological and spiritual condition benefiting from the support of people committed to healthy human relationships. Life more abundantly.

    Well Willie,

We can add boxing to the list of all subjects you know nothing about.

A few years ago it was in fashion for 'professionals' to seek out boxing gyms. To train with the real people.

My friend quickly learned the reality. Electricity turned off. Run a cord to the neighboring home. Water shut off? Bring in buckets.

The people are poor. Which is why most people get into boxing.

I also laughed when he mentioned what happened when he took every one out to lunch. They walked out to find a street progressive person acting crazed. To shouts of loco crack head they all rushed back in to the gym. It is a job or a hobby or a sport. You work out with your friends and practice with friends. Maybe you get a fill in where you do your best not to get beat. To last.

When I trained it was out in the country. There was a breeding boar kept right next to the boxers shack. Boxers had to be approved to go into the real gym by the way.

When you pulled up to the shack, the boar made sounds like Japanese monster movies or Jon says Mr. O commuting to work. The reason was the boxers would go and punch the huge pig. In addition to simply being a big male pig.

Well one day when I was not there, the boar broke out. Chased all the boxers up into the rafters. Farmer left them up there for an hour. Only when it was time for real customers to come to the real gym did he round him up. Bucket off favorite feed in the padlock or an old farmer with a electric prod. Pigs are very smart.

Old boar was not afraid of boxers. It was smart enough to chose feed over tangling with the old farmer.

You clearly are not. But it is your personal choice.

Hey this is a good thing. Great fun. I am jealous of Romney as he gets to experience just how quick and efficient a champion is. Holyfield is a great champion.

The Constitution is Itself...a Bill of Rights"

It brings up the rise of the bureaucratic state under FDR. Of course the real bad joke in Progressive Sciencetism or bureaucratic state is that the administrators would be ethical. Not partisan.

But of course Grubering Progressives view the bureaucratic state as the gateway to monetary and intellectual corruption. Rationalized by a combination of the irrational social justice and climate change pagan religions.

    At about 19 minutes.

    Excellent, as always.

In Federalist 84, Publius writes, “The truth is, after all the declamation we have heard, that the constitution is itself, in every rational sense, and to every useful purpose, A BILL OF RIGHTS.” In other words, the structure of the Constitution protects the rights of the people. In addition, the American people retain all powers not granted to the federal and state governments.

    Illegal Corn Ethanol

    by dadnorris1 May 15, 2015 10:43 AM dadnorris1 May 15, 2015 2:34 PM Flag

Sections of the law have been posted.

If food or gasoline prices are increased, the mandate has to be waived until market efficiency is restored.

Further, to benefit from the RFS mandate, an alternative fuel must reduce greenhouse gasses by 20%.

Results are in. Corn ethanol increases co2 and more important other immediately dangerous pollution.

So yep, your wanton ignorance is an interruption not a contribution to free speech.

    Progressives are so primitive.
