    AROUND THE TABLE

About time for the table to open and none too soon...The talk around the keno parlour is really boring. It's hot...it's cold.....Last time I checked, the equator is still hot and the north and south poles are still cold..Roll them bones....

Time to relax, step away from the table and reflect on what we know and what's to come...Everyone deserves a holiday from the hectic action at the table...including the dealer, the rake man and the waitress....So, enjoy the break in the action and prepare for the birthday of the savior...May all your dreams come true and all your rolls be 7s...Now I must leave you because I need to get some fat man off of my roof...

    AROUND THE TABLE

    by dadufuss Dec 16, 2014 8:41 PM

The table has been pretty boring lately due mainly to it's lack of a hot roller. Spells like this are pretty common which makes some players restless and easily distracted. Even the pit crew are showing signs of needing a break. Do is having trouble keeping his wife and girlfriend interested and tried to inject a bit of humor but only managed to irritate Arnold. Dragon and ultra continue to discuss the intricacies of the game and why their strategy is the way to play it. Chips are moving back and forth to no one's advantage. A few new players have tried to liven up the table but have met a cool reception from a drunk guy being obnoxious. Reg is talking trash and foggie is getting nervous. This is the time to reflect on your reason for playing at this table and realize if it was easy everyone would play here.

Long faces around the table today...My how the atmosphere has changed..guy handling the rake is busy scraping chips off of the felt and the pit boss is smiling...The players are hanging on hoping for a shift change and keep calling for new dice. Nothing but ugly numbers while the other tables seem to be gaining strength...I heard jack mumble something about, "just my luck to be playing here, but I'm all in so I can't leave now"...Ultra took a pee break, I hope he's not having a panic attack..If we could just get rid of a couple of the shooters maybe the table luck will turn...Switched to B&B and coffee as it looks like we are in for a long session..Just remember players, they are only chips and not real money....I sure could use a massage...

The table got pretty lively today...all the other tables were having as much fun...seemed like the entire casino was on a roll. Our table has warmed up making a few numbers and all the players are clapping and yelling. All but one. Some guy shows up with a long face and smoke coming out of his nostrils Dragon the party down...Security is heading his way and they don't look happy...

Here we stand, around the craps table, one big happy family. Ultra with his money on the pass line and fully backed up....Jack is also in big with ultra......dtime loaded up on don't pass....light betting all the hard numbers....Skippy has pass money and some numbers.....I'm betting on the come with light while Do, his wife and girlfriend discussing last night's 3 way telling dtime to quiet down and quit spitting on the table when he yells for craps. Manhattan for everyone miss..you just can't beat fun at the casino.

Why don't you send this message to French Fries via his investor relations dept. or send him an email...It would certainly be advisable to include the mgt in on your ideas...

Be Greedy When Others are Fearful

Dtime, your past prognostications, have for the most part, been pretty accurate, are either a result of a lucky guess or studious technical analysis. Either way the result to date has followed your sentiment. In the past I supported your opinion and am still very critical of TCs chances of recovery due to heavy debt and questions regarding top management..The falling oil and metals prices, which have contributed to the slide I don't believe were on your or anyone else's radar...Recently however, management has shown some nads by making decisions that may or may not be proven to be correct...The fact that they are willing to make the tough decisions regarding things they can control at least gives them a fighting chance for a future..I anxiously await further action and communication regarding additional steps they my take to enhance their solvency...I must give you credit for your successful prognostications to date...but remember a broken clock is correct twice daily...It has been entertaining standing next to you at the table watching the bones roll...The next Manhattan is on me....Salute

I was the original poster regarding the large put position and don't recall directing it specially at you. If your ego forced you to respond the problem is with you not me. So don't miss your Mensa meeting responding to my posts. Got to go, my hedge needs trimmed. :) :)

Thanks for the options explanations...I do not waste my time or money playing a game I don't understand.. and it doesn't surprise me that I am not alone. I buy and sell stock and have done well over the past 40 years. I understand the investigation process and make my decisions with cash. I retired at 50 and make my own investment decisions. For those of you who play options, I say good luck. The only hedge I have I trim monthly with electric trimmers.

I don't trade options and you can shove your advice where the sun doesn't shine...My questions were not to enhance my nontrading of options, it was to try to understand if a huge option position in TC may or may not have bearing on the movement of a particular stock...

dadufuss dadufuss Dec 13, 2014 8:57 PM Flag

Please clarify. If I own puts let's say with a $5 strike price and company goes under who would possibly want to buy them if the stock is worthless

  • dadufuss by dadufuss Dec 13, 2014 8:10 PM Flag

What happens to all options positions if a company goes belly up? Are all positions worthless or must they be closed out and settled? Also are all margin accounts closed and settled? I do not play the option game as in my opinion it is like gambling against yourself.

What if the trade doesn't start working and you continue to roll...Fees along with cost of contract price to roll can be a money pit...some day the piper must be paid...
