Good point, but I feel confidant that SNY knows what they have!
If it's like anything with his deal with Iran.........Price of MNKD shares may be the least of our concerns.
I'm in the same thought process as Red.
Great points C & G! FDA should just take cigs off the market if they really cared about our health. And Ceda humorous way you made your point!
I can just see the little guy at my local convenience store giving spirometer tests with each sale. LMAO
The last 2 times this has happened was in 1967 (6 Day War) and 1948 Israel again becomes a nation.
Ans as you say Red, what could go wrong in this insane world!?
i guess I'm less generous in this case. I have posted this numerous times, but if you took an exact replica of the people in the trials (Same ages, etc.) and gave them nothing, the incidence of lung cancer would be higher.
So in theory Afrezza could be argued to lower the incidence of lung cancer.
Actually it does make sense. Surely they had to look at the possibility or the plan for a slow launch and had to have something in place. I would certainly hope they were smart enough to put a provision in there to keep SNY from running them dry.
Maybe my head is in the sand, but I think Al is smarter than that!
MNKD knew their cash position and debt going into this. There is no way that Al Mann didn't look at this from a best to a worst case scenario. I don't know how or when, but I am sure MNKD didn't think of what you are suggesting, and somehow have it covered.
A doctor that gets it! Thanks for sharing that! I have thought from day 1 that a lung test is a waste.
In a way though, say a smoker of 40 years gets lung cancer after being on Afrezza. Anyone with any common sense will know it was the cigarettes.
Especially when you will have data on non smokers which I am 100% certain will show no connection to lung cancer what so ever.
So, as she stated, the FDA requirement is keeping it from the people that need it the most. Kind of a crazy logic there, IMO!
That goes along with my point, Gambler. Wouldn't you love to just sit down for about 10 minutes and find out what he knows? Give him a little shot of truth serum? :-)
I posted months ago that there has to be more. I think the biggest and least talked about sign is Al stepping back. I'm not sure of his Shares owned, but my guess is he has lost over a Billion on paper since the approval.
I would think if anyone should be freaking over the current PPS, it's Al Mann.
Now we aren't privy to what goes on, (heck, we aren't privy to much) but is it logical that he would remain silent if he didn't foresee a big payday coming his way? He did not spend 10 years of his life and a fortune of his own $ to see Afrezza sell 500 scripts a week.
Afrezza is everything he said it was. I just have to believe there is a step 2 to all of this. What will trigger it and when it happens, I don't know. Am I speculating? Of course I am. But trying to do it in a logical manner.
I don't care how rich you are, you drop a Billion+, and you aren't just gonna be this quiet.
Heck, just read this board and you will know that nobody like to lose $.
Haven't posted in awhile, so just my 2 cents.
Saw it do it to $3.55 several times. Showing that as HOD. Was going back and forth between $3.42 and 3.55 several times.
Gambler, some great posts, especially this week. you are probably right, but since Al stepped down, he might take $25 PPS. As MNKD, who is losing the most right now? Al is!!!!
Other than the name, does Al really care about the name on the product at this point? He said to Matt the patients will take care of the PPS. Why not do the deal and just hold SNY shares?
If he were to take $25, it's roughly 7 times what the market thinks it's worth.
He could sit on SNY shares just as easy and let SNY finance the whole thing. Once the hurdles are over, we all know Afrezza will be huge.
I think the bigger question, is SNY convinced enough to make that offer? LMO
