From my experience you are correct. There have been medicines that are new (not diabetic) that my Doctor has given me samples and a script at the same time. Sometimes the Doctor isn't sure about side effects or if the new medicine will be anymore helpful. So to save me the $ of buying the script first, he gives me samples to see if the script makes sense to fill.
That is sort of my point. I would bet there are more people on samples than Scripts. Most (IMO) will stay on it. I was trying to say "Don't worry about the Script #'s". I think we are more on our way than people realize.
Toujeo is not a given. Is it so much better than a generic form of Lantus that people will flock to it? Also, what Oppie said below makes sense. I just see "A' as the money tree for SNY and Toujeo------ Maybe!
At the last CC, they stated that SNY needed more Samples. Although Script #'s were dissapointing this week, how many people are on "A"? We have no idea how many samples were allotted or used. What I am getting at, although we are getting a rough idea of scripts, we might have several thousand more on "A' using the samples. In fact, it only seems logical that we would.
Am I missing something here? We could see a big increase in script #'s as Paople on samples swith to real Scripts.
Obviously I was in the buyout camp, but I have to agree that after the CC, I find it not too likely. I do agree that "A" will have a tie in with MDT eventually, though
The amazing thing to me is EVERY ONE is positive! As I have posted elsewhere, the guy from Ameican Idol hit me the hardest. He was so genuine and talked like a regular guy. There was nothing rehearsed about that! I loved how anxious he was to get to his Mac and Cheese.
I don't have Twitter, but that is great to hear Sports.
In a way, I think that made it more authentic presentation. No medical mumbo jumbo, just pure experience and down to Earth speaking. He did 1 take and in some ways, I thought it was the best one I have seen yet!
"The shorts are uber smart and the only reason we are below $11 pps but nobody has seen a medical delivery paradigm shift with today's internet commuincations." nx, you hit the nail on the head with this statement alone.
I agree. I never really realized how devastating and complicated being Diabetic is. I mentioned this earlier, but when I see the shape Sam is in, and he can't do what we can. We are blessed and fortunate.
Great perspective in your post!
It is starting to look like I was wrong about the buyout, but at least I think I am going to be right about this being the first medicine that Social media makes it an extreme success. I knew that because there is no stigma and people would post the benefits like crazy. Look at Sam. I wish I was in half the shape he is.
A drug like Viagra or Harvoni will never get the SM because of the stigma of HEP-C and who is gonna post they need Viagra? This was the perfect drug to show the power of Social media and it will only grow from here.
I watched the guy from American Idol this morning, and he explained it so simply and so well. I'm not diabetic, but I have a better understanding than ever from his 10 minute video.
Even in down markets, there are good stocks. And if it is a matter chaos drop we are all screwed so what point are you making?
Now that's what I love to hear. Straight from a guy selling it and getting what he sells. And I Know he has to be one of many! Thanks for sharing!
Thing I liked about it is he explains it so that even a non-diabetic can get it. Although it looks like my buyout scenario might have been way off (at least for a good while), I think I may have gotten the Social media part right.
Wonder on how many FACEBOOK pages this is mentioned?
Scripts are going to be interesting over the next month. I am starting to wonder that even with a controlled launch, SNY and MNKD underestimated the demand. Time will tell.
