you are joking, right? he is extremely well compensated to take the blame. the buck stops with him. that is his job. if he fails to grow shareholder wealth, he is failing at his job. period. i bought in at $15.37 and altho realized a handsome return, i am not satisfied with GE performance and last quarters' performance is an indication. under Immelt GE has shown an inability to focus and done a poor job in allocating resources to profit bearing product sectors. they continue to carry the dogs. this is an indication of a timid leader. YTD performance lags behind the DOW. as diverse as GE is, they should be equal to, or better. I pity the current, and past employees, counting on stock performance for their retirement. they need to diversify. Immelt needs to go.

always keep this addage in mind, "cheap stocks can get cheaper". $10,000 invested for 10,000 shares at a dollar a share is no different than $10,000 invested for 100 shares at $100 a share. that is why you follow the percentage loss and gain, not the dollar loss and gain. there are thousands of cheap stocks. shortly you will have to find ALU trading on the OTC or pink sheets. good luck to you but think your strategy. ALU is a dump.

vikki, vikki. the facts don't change. opinions change. sentiment changes. apparently you changed your mind. either you simply sold off or you are indeed playing BP short. when playing the market, i dislike being wrong. when i am right, i love every dollar of it. as i am long on BP, i am ok waiting for results as the yield compensates me well for my wait. something i think you should consider is that even if the worst case scenario comes true, BP will not take the hit on PPS that many investors fear. you see, the fear will be mostly passed and investors will pour in. the yield will shoot up as the dividend will remain intact. if BP is simply found negligent, the stock will rocket up. the uncertainty will be grossly diminished. i bet on that to the tune of 19.2% of my stock portfolio. i remain grossly confident.
