generally (typically), you will receive both, ROC and distributions from earnings, if there are any earnings. You really need an accountant for K-1 tax management, especially the year in which you sell your position.
well, they did. still like this stock, will hold and collect.
When I listened to the CC again, I was not impressed with management's rigor around 3rd quarter/4th quarter strategy to fix engineering bottlenecks, at all. SGA is up, AR is up, no plan to fix revenue flow. Just score-keeping after the fact. CFO is an accountant, not a business leader, CEO should be more engaged!
Short positions are time sensitive, can't be enough profit in that position recently, trend is against them.
good quarter, good year, right on track to enhance the enterprise value long term. Share purchase program accelerating, could be more than 50MM shares, and happen sooner than year end, for sure. That supports s/p.
Sure, there are lots of stock you can make money with, but MRK pays a nice dividend, and I own it because I think it's going north from here. Your statement is true for a lot of stocks, no guarantees with anything. I like blue chip dividend payers.... good luck.
