At what price do you see a share of NTE selling for in several years?
Sentiment: Hold
I plan to hold also. I'm down about 46% but 31% occurred in one day. My wife says it's only money. I hope she has some.

Yml please keep us up to date with your thoughts.
Do you think this policy change has anything to do with the numerous complaints that we shareholders have expressed on this board and to Investor Relations head Kevin McGarth concerning understanding Mr. Koo's comments.. In this regard I see it as a positive. If the pr firm articulates Mr. Koo motives and strategies I think we will be much better served. Also, I am extremely interested in any changes in the Kahn brother's holdings. They added a substantial amount of stock in the first quarter.

Better than I. I bought three lots at 10.65, 13.45 and 15.25 in late 2012 and early 2013. I'm down 46%.
Flip, how long have you owned this stock?
I will answer my own dumb question. I found it on their website.
Sentiment: Hold
I would say they (NTE) covered just about everything that could go wrong to protect themselves and leave the shareholders in the dark. Did the company mail the 2012 annual report to stockholders or do you have to ask Kevin McGarth for a copy?
It has been stated the dividend is safe for the next two quarters and there is hope a modest dividend will continue.

Did anyone attend the shareholders meeting in Shenzhen, China?
I did not pay to subscribe. I just entered an email address and came up with a password and then entered Irving Kahn. I have that specific page on my favorites so I can immediately access it. If there is a way to post it I would try. If you can get on the site at the top are listed several things, hit gurus. You may have to type in Kahn Brothers before pressing gurus or after. I have read it carefully about four times tonight and he added the amount in that quarter and at that cost average according to this site.
Sentiment: Hold
On Gurufocus's website, you may have to sign in, but you will find that Irving Kahn owns 3,420,936 million shares of which 18.74% of the shares were added in the first quarter of 2013 at prices between 11.90-14.99 with an average price of 13.65.

Yml I for one really appreciate your comments along with the others that have owned this stock for awhile. I wish to learn and your knowledge of the company is insightful. Please keep posting and when, if the time comes to sell, let the board know. Thanks again to all that post knowledgeable thoughts and ideas. Hopefully the lunatic fringe will continue to stay away for awhile.

Good enough for me but if you should be wrong :) I will blame myself!
I'm glad that you are able to chastise we yahoos. But when a stick drops thirty some percent in one day and gives the guidance that Mr. Koo did then there is reason for alarm. And like you stated " No one knows anything here", even those that have owned this stock for years. But I do trust and appreciate your insight of the past and would appreciate more of your knowledge since I too am holding this stock.

We know NTE offers quality components. Why would Apple or Samsung risk their reputations, even though they will be producing cheaper phones for the Indian and Asian nations, with the possibility of inferior components to save money. It will backfire and comeback to haunt them. People that purchase these cheaper (in price) phones will expect them to work and work well.
Sentiment: Hold
Financebug we all would be ecstatic if your enthusiasm pans out and I hope it does. I think you would do yourself a great favor by calling Investor Relations Tuesday and discuss with Mr. McGarth what is the forward outlook for NTE. Their are several scenarios but as far as production out put he will not go any further than Sept. There are several other options if Mr. Koo does not receive the price for his products to make a decent profit but those will take awhile to be profitable. As we all know everyone with this company is overcautious but as investors we had better listen to what they are saying, especially now.
I owned Cirrus and as most know they are almost totally dependent on Apple. When I purchased NTE there were rumors of work with Apple but I thought most of their work was for other companies. I also knew nothing about the real estate. The stocks of both did very well and then bam. I was still able to make a profit on Cirrus because it gradually fell in price and I was determined to make some profit and sold. NTE fell thirty some percent in a day and I'm down a total of thirty six percent. If I had gotten in on this stock around six, I too would have sold most if not all and if it rebounded I might repurchase. Now I am in a financial purgatory waiting on next quarters report to see where I will go.
Sentiment: Hold
At 3:15 140,300 shares traded at $8.02 and at 3:44 109,200 shares traded at 7.96 I have know idea what this means but after a few beers I may just figure it out.

What some consider small is large comparable to my holdings but I'm definitely over weighted in this stock. I appreciated your participation on this board because this has become one even larger guessing game and I need all the help I can receive.
