You can click major holders below message board (left side column ) and view institutional, mutual fund, and over 5% holders. I purchased some today mainly because Zacks has a strong buy rating and MSN Scouter has a buy recommendation.
Back in the latter part of May 2013 a poster whose name was yml1964 made several comments. If this poster is still watching this board I would be most appreciative for any insight you may have. This person had owned this stock since 1991 and had accumulated a large amount of shares. Also IR responded to my questions of (1) updating the webpage and (2) being more transparent as to what is taking place. He responded " at the moment, we are still engaged in the EMS business and maintain facilities in Shenzhen and Wuxi as well as raw land for development in Guanming. Once the company announced the details of how it will proceed with the redevelopment of its SZ location and the outcome of any asset sales, we will update shareholders and the website. No new news and IMO no news will be received until the board meets, I believe, in June 2014. Also, the second largest institutional holder of NTE, Acadian Asset Management (1,776,015 shares owned) sold 20,883 shares or just 1.16 percent.
I emailed IR on 1/23 and asked when they were going to update the website hoping a new site would give some insight as to where NTE is heading but I have not had a reply. In a couple of weeks the form 13-F? will be filed and we can see who still owns and who sold their positions. I'm still holding but I will not purchase any more.
gman is and has been a reliable source on this board. He also does his due diligence. Blackrock and several other mega investment firms are also promoting this area. My question is where this land is in proximity to the land owned by NTE?
Well imdaman your intelligence is overwhelming and you do make some valid points. Thank god you do not own this stock. You remind me of a more articulate muddy rivers that posted whenever there was bad news for NTE.
One of my biggest fears with NTE's real estate is the falling of value. This is definitely a good sign. Thanks for the update.
I called IR to complain that I could not understand M. Koo and received at least twenty minutes of time from Mr. McGrath who educated me as to what would be taking place for the rest of 2013 and all that he said concerning the loss of contracts at the end of the third quarter and the elimination or a nominal dividend at the beginning of 2014 have taken place. This call was made in June 2013. I have said it several times IR is there to help you. Please call him (Mr. McGrath) after the quarters announcement if you need any information. I hardly think Mr. Koo pays any attention to this board but if he did, broken English and all, I would be one happy shareholder.
At this time last year I thought NTE would be in the low twenties on this date. After the third quarter cc I thought we would be a four on this date. My average pps is in the thirteen dollar range so I have lost about forty five percent of my investment. What does all this mean? Nothing. Happy New Year gman and all others who have held on to NTE!
