  • The University of Texas-Pan American Police Department arrested a production director at Entravision Communications on Saturday night on two counts of improper photography.

Police arrested Abraham Joseph "A.J." Leal, 30, of Harlingen for two counts of improper photography in a bathroom or dressing room.

Leal is a production director at Entravision Communication, according to his LinkedIn profile. Entravision didn't immediately respond to a request for comment Monday.

Action 4 News filed a request for the charging documents with the Edinburg Municipal Court, but the records weren't immediately available Monday.

The University of Texas-Pan American released a statement:

"UTPA Police arrested a man Saturday evening on two counts of Improper Photography or Visual Recording," according to the statement provided by Kilberly Selber, associate vice president for University Marketing and Communication. "The suspect, identified as Abraham Leal, who is not a student and is not affiliated with UTPA, was taken into custody by University police shortly after reports of suspicious behavior were made to an officer on campus. The suspect has been arraigned on both counts."

Leal was booked into the Hidalgo County jail at 11:19 a.m. Sunday and released at 9:02 p.m., according to jail records.

If you had listened to martel when he was posting on SBGI, GTN, BLC, LIN and others 2 years ago you would have made 500-1000% on your money. Pull up his old posts before you say something in ignorance. Oh yea, BLC and LIN have already been bought out at 5-10 times......I'm sure you are doing better than that. BTW, I have not ever bought MEG but pretty soon. DaninFW

I think we have a patient big buyer that lets it drift lower. Today was disappointing. However, I am convinced stock is being manipulated. We dropped a bunch when a big seller dumped. Then, we went from $6.65 to $6.75 by moving a penny on just a few hundred shares. We went from $6.65 to $6.75 on less than 10,000 shares but dropped the same on over 50,000 shares. Short interest may be a catalyst. The schedule 13's have to be filed within next 20 days. I expect some major positive surprises. DaninFW

A 23% float is on the extreme side. EVC is only about 4% or less at present. A 23 % short could cause stock to rocket on virtually any good news. There are a lot of people that expect bad news for whatever reason IMVHO. DaninFW

Stocks like you mention usually have funds behind them that invested as a start up. They are usually very volatile. Hard to give specifics without having followed company. EVC for instance is highly manipulate by market maker. He plays a lot of games. My point was EVC was at 52 week high and then we get two downgrades but the price targets actually went up at one and was $8 at the other. When EVC hit almost $5 you would expect an upgrade from a company with an $8 price target. The shorts hammered stock after the downgrades. Stocks that are highly volatile can easily be manipulated. Food for Thought----I was just thinking that if short interest is actually down, the shorts actually covered while it was dropping and before it reversed. If that's the case..........we have one manipulated stock. I hate believing in conspiracy theories but next day or so will indeed be enlightening. DaninFW

The new short interest numbers should be out Monday or Tuesday. I can't wait to see them. EVC dropped from 12-31-14 to 1-15-15 which indicates they were still shorting I suspect. We have had little enough volume to suggest any massive covering, so I believe the numbers may well have gone up, perhaps to 4 million shares now. IMVHO this would be the best catalyst in a year or so for a short squeeze......just need an upgrade, some insider buying, accretive acquisition, etc. and we could blow past $8 very quick. The shorts I believe got sucked in by the two negative analysts downgrades where one even upped the price target. We almost hit $7 this past week and I believe we will pop above $7 Monday. The squeeze is coming.....DaninFW

I think it just explains some of the volatility. I still believe when all the Schedule 13's are filed USCR will show a net gain in institutional ownership. Those selling now got most if not all their shares in bankruptcy for around $2-4 a share. They are just cashing out. I still think USCR will be $36-40 in 2015. I will buy any and all warrants below $4 DaninFW

JP Morgan filed Thursday that they had sold about half their position or half million shares in Q4. They still have 4.2% of shares but they were the 2nd largest holder. We now have the top two holders dumping shares. Might well be the answer for weakness in the stock. IMVHO the fears of contagion from Texas market are way overblown. I suspect less than 10% exposure.

Friday, EVC was up 2% when the DOW was down almost 150 points. We also closed at the high of the day. This is the first time we closed on the high since 11-06-14 when we closed at the high of $5.14 and went almost straight up to $7.72 on 12-11-14 before falling back. I believe we are filling the gap and EVC has shown mild accumulation for the past 3 trading days. IMVHO we will run to $8+ before this leg is finished. DaninFW

We didn't gap up but we are filling the gap. I would like to see a lot more volume but we are trading nicely at all areas. At this rate when we break $7.11+ we should have a lot of support and set the stage for a real pop. DaninFW

I agree. I may trade back and forth if it breaks $7+ but each day you have to look at what's happening in broadcast, the markets overall and globally.......not to mention all the spectrum court cases, road shows, etc. EVC will be very volatile for at least a year. DaninFW

Filing was made hours before market closed. The weird thing today was PBY's was reported by the news as filing a report that a major over 5% holder had sold shares and now dropped below 5%. Made no sense. It is the fund's responsibility not PBY's. Bad reporting or screw up. I honestly think that kept PBY's from participating in upward market action today. DaninFW

We had a big seller and when we hit $6.78 today we had a big seller for 50,000+ shares that pushed it down to $6.73 and then the buyer started nibbling again and pushed it to $6.75. I agree with salsam that it was algo trading from someone wanting to accumulate a bunch, probably from the presentation. DaninFW

I don't think the jump today was short covering in hindsight. The entire sector and market was strong today. MEG, SBGI and NXST were up 4-7% today as well. NXST was upgraded yesterday by Moody's. However, the more we move up the more a short squeeze is likely. Wasn't enough volume today for massive short covering if any. If we get a catalyst now, we could easily run to $8 a share. Just an analyst upgrade or massive buying would cause the shorts to run. Also, sold the 20,000 GTN bought last week for $9.95+/- for $10.40-$10.42 today............Daninfw
