I'm not worried about missing any trains- I made some profitable trades in SFM. There's many stocks in this universe and maybe I'll be back into SFM some day, maybe not. Good luck to all here.
If it ran up to 35, yes the train left the station for me. However, it's at 31 even right now. I got out a tick under 32 - I booked my profits and I'm pleased. How can anyone not like to book a profit. As I said in a previous post, it's too early for me to consider - probably 4 or 5 weeks or so before earnings (earnings date 2/26) I'll start dabbling.
Earnings are due out 2/26 - It's way too early for me to consider SFM - By Feb. 1st. I'll either be taking positions or maybe I'll have missed the train - we'll see.
I'm not a chartist but SFM seems to be in a channel 28.50 to 32.50 - It is in the lower half of the channel at 29.90 today so it's looking attractive to me for a entering position. It's still about 2 weeks earlier than I planned on getting back in. No action today. Just throwing out some "STUFF" ! LOL
Good luck to you. Looks as if SFM took a hit this AM. Some brokerage joint started with an under-perform. Surprised the hit was so large based on a no-name. Maybe nobody big follows it. I'm still watching.
Missed the huge downfall - fine by me. Never did pull the trigger at the 60 or 55 levels. This oil nonsense dropped it further. Solar is the future, regardless of the price of oil, now or whenever. Just my first position in a long time. My last transaction was a sell at 63.63 back in May.
If the train leaves the station and I'm not on it, oh well. Plenty of others around to trade. With Apollos shares running out the train may move up so I'm keeping close eye on it but not for another month or so. I'll take my chances and wait it out.
Thank you - SFM hasn't done anything since and I wouldn't chase at this point anyway. Maybe a 5% drop is in order from here sooner or later and I'll wiggle back in. Roughly a month before the next earnings date I'll be looking at it a lot closer..
Got out of my SFM - made a nice return for only 7 or 8 trading days. I'll always keep an eye out on it. I'll be checking it daily and most certainly will be back in it sooner or later. Probably sooner.
Still watching today with regards to my last purchase - Way too early to just sit on my current holdings until next earnings. SFM usually ramps up a week or two before earnings so there will probably be plenty of opportunities to get back in if I get out.
I like to play upwards momentum also, in any stocks I own. A 10% rise from my purchase price and I would add more. Keep moving up my trailing stops for protection, try and make some money. Name of the game.
Like you said they're unloading some of their shares. They need money also for their own personal needs and they probably got their shares well below the offering price. I don't see a problem with it. Normal procedures for any new public offering.
Probably the same clown that didn't believe me either - Who cares about him. My buy recently is up is over 3 bucks a share. I usually add more on the way up, with a protective moving stop to not give back too much of the profits. Take care - good trading.
Nice to see someone else here thinks that trading this SFM can be successful. I did the same, maybe made a trade that was a minimal loss - that I can handle compared to the many profitable ones. I'm not going back to see any of your previous posts. Don't know if you publicly announced your buys and sells of SFM as some other guy on this thread thinks we should do. I don't care. I make some bucks, you make some bucks. That's what counts. Good luck to you in the future. I do like SFM long term. Enuff said.
One person here anyway. Won't name him - he doesn't deserve any ink.
Anyone who read my post on the 11th. and took the hint and took some action is up almost 5% in just one week. Will I post my sell if and when I make it?? Probably not, just to steam the one person who thinks I don't know what I'm doing.
To You Mike - I owe nothing . My post on the 11th. suggested a good entry point. If you care to take that as my buy point, fine, if you think I'm still waiting, fine also. Contrary to your thoughts, it has been a good trading stock. I am done with you - don't even bother replying.
Made many successful trades in FSLR in the past. I was lamenting not getting in at the low 50's around a month ago and watching it go to 58 or so. Now I see it's been getting beat up and I'll have to read the posts to get peoples feelings. Is it the dropping price of oil?? Don't understand why that would be the case. BUT I'll read back a bunch and make my own determination if it's time to nibble back in at these levels.
Your #'s are correct from what I read the other day - looks as if one more unloading and they'll be done.
And to that other bozo who wants me to post when I buy in, I'll say that with this mornings drop, looks attractive to start a new position. BUT I won't give him the time of day any more.
Just a little more about your idiotic reply to my post. Your first line, "Stock is down 30% from it's IPO" So what? Who bought in at it's IPO price?? If I can't get in on the ground floor before it goes public (there's not too many who can, including you), I don't get in. Once the dust settled and it dropped down out of the clouds, SFM has been a good trading stock - If you can't believe I've made money in SFM, I don't care. My brokerage account statement tells me all I need to know. Good luck with yours.
DUDE? LOL I'm a load of #$%$?? Fine with me - My trades are my business and I don't need to post every trade I make just to make you happy. Most of the previous drops after earnings can be and were money makers. See the drop in May and the run up from 27 to 32??? See the drop in Aug. after earnings and the run up from 29 to 32??? See the recent run up into the last earnings report?? I caught the majority of those run ups. Not necessarily from their bottoms - nobody is that good - NOT EVEN YOU. You deserve no more of my time.
It's a trading stock that's all. Most if not all of my trades in SFM since it went public have been profitable. Maybe one was a minimal loss (commissions in and out). Predictable for now. Making money, that's the name of the game.
