Same team sold off almost $60 Million in stock Options in 6 months when stock was at $21.
Same team took it from $21 down to $3.00; so your logic is a bit flawed, as they killed the shareholders.....PLAIN and SIMPLE.
YEARS later and the stock price has NEVER recovered, so not sure how you can say the shareholders weren't hurt???.......oh yes I can, cause you're the moron schmuck.

silver and gold during this crush? Not the miners, but the real thing?
I've started buying here. Maples, bars, Kilo coins, etc....
Silver opened up last night down almost 9%. Grabbed a lot of physical from Gainesville Coins, gonna cringe when Amex sends me my statement this month:).
Been buying physical for past 10-13 years, so my cost basis is around $8.50 for my silver hoard and $535 for my gold.
Watched HBO movie: "Too Big To Fail" the other night.....just amazing the incompetence that higher powers have.
Loved the part about China telling Paulson at a dinner reception that Russia asked them if they would follow their lead to dump US Treasuries to wreck chaos on US economy. Luckily, China declined (maybe next time??).

Wow, Just stating fact you schmuck. Where is the lie??
Secondary is on the shelf and waiting to be priced.
Last Secondary saw price plummet 14% before opening from May 6, 2009 to May 7 2009.
Second aticle is about Freedom and Summer sale.
Again, are you too stupid to see what is in front of you?

One way or another, sale or no sale; You can be sure Insiders will award new batch of in-the-Money Options in July in this legal Ponzi scheme. (Or illegal if Courts rule on Illegal options of 500,000 shares to one Director when by-laws state max. 300,000 option limit). 300,000 limit is still wildly insane for this small cap company!!

Looks like Summer SWHC will either buy some Freedom or walk.

By SHARON TERLEP And MIKE SPECTOR
Several U.S. weapons makers have expressed interest in a potential bid for Freedom Group, the gun maker put on the block after a rifle it manufactured was used in last year's Newtown, Conn., school massacre, according to people familiar with the matter.

Smith & Wesson Holding Corp. SWHC -0.20%and Sturm, Ruger RGR +0.04%& Co. have asked for detailed information on Freedom Group, the people said. Alliant Techsystems Inc., ATK +0.81%an aerospace and defense company that also makes ammunition and firearms accessories, has also expressed interest, they said.

Freedom Group is owned by private-equity firm Cerberus Capital Management LP, which hopes to complete a sale this summer and aims to fetch around $1 billion, the people said.

Meanwhile, law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP said it has been hired to advise a special committee to evaluate offers. The committee is being created because individual Cerberus partners are pursuing a bid as a way to put a floor for an auction of Freedom Group. The committee will include representatives from outside Cerberus investors that have large stakes in Freedom Group, as well as directors on the gun maker's board, the people said.

It is unclear whether any of the weapons companies or other potential suitors will bid, and it remains possible that there will be no buyer for Freedom Group, the people said.

Freedom Group is one of the largest U.S. gun makers. Its brands include Remington and Bushmaster, the maker of a rifle used in the spree that killed 20 students and six adults at the Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Immediately after the December tragedy, Cerberus decided to sell Freedom Group as a way to keep out of the gun-control debate that the killings fueled. The New York firm hired investment bank Lazard Ltd. LAZ 0.00%to run an auction.

Negative publicity around guns has already weighed on the process. Citing such concerns, some investment banks declined to aid Cerberus in the sale, according to people familiar with the discussions.

Interest in Freedom Group comes as Cerberus Chief Executive Stephen Feinberg and other Cerberus partners, using their own money, are looking to form their own bid for the gun maker in an effort to create a floor for the auction. The group is seeking to team up with other investors to place a bid, the people said. The Cerberus partners would have a minority financial position in the group, according to the people. The partners are reaching out to other wealthy individuals and families to join the bid, the people said.

The quick decision to sell the company raised the possibility that Cerberus would receive lowball bids, the people familiar with the matter said. With that concern in mind, the Cerberus partners are joining forces to submit a bid with the aim of increasing competition around the process and discouraging bidders seeking to get Freedom Group on the cheap.

The purpose of the special committee is to help ensure that a decision on a sale isn't affected by any conflict of interest on the part of Mr. Feinberg or other Cerberus executives pursuing a bid. The group would withdraw from the bidding if any suitor tops its offer by 10% or more, the people said. The group wouldn't receive a breakup fee.

Exactly, AR's and AK's coming back at almost normal prices.
Govt. buying up ammo though is MAJOR problem.
Who wants to buy a another Printer when the cartidges are $100 a pop.
Same with firearms. Ammo goes up to $1 rd. people lose interest in buying another firearm they can't even shoot.

Those AR's and AK's have really come down to real life prices again, something that indicates the bubble has popped.
I think ammo is being bought up by Govt. to force down gun ownership. Next will be taxing ammo and making it like cigarettes, now 5 times the price of a pack just 7 years ago.

The Truth About Guns had another article with a question. EVERYONE answered yes; they were conserving ammo. Can't have a good sport or firearm industry that's being chocked by ammo shortages or over-charging. They have another article about cheaper than dirt...think it's about them ripping off their customers. Will file that one later, but for now...This was the question everyone said yes to.

The post-Newtown Great Ammunition and Firearms Sales Surge has stretched the country’s supply chain to breaking point. Actually, it’s broken. Shelves are bare. We’re hearing reports that shooters are conserving ammunition supplies by . . . not shooting. Or shooting guns for which they have more plentiful ammo (e.g., .22 caliber rifles and handguns). Is that true for you? One helpful hint: switch to 5.45 X 39. In stock! Another: shoot more slowly. A third: wait. This is America. If there’s money to be made, someone will make it. Ammo’s coming. Eventually.

p.s. I've mentioned numerous times to grab some 5.45 x 39. It's dirt cheap right now!!

    COPS Rationing AMMO; USING AIRSOFT!

sanfrancisco cbslocal reports that California cops [not shown] are suffering from the same ammo shortage that’s keeping you and me from busting caps like Detective John McClane. “Everybody is fighting for what seems like a shrinking amount of ammunition out there,” said Lt. Louie Tirona, firearms and tactics instructor for the Richmond Police Department. “It’s become harder and harder to get the ammunition we need to train our officers on a timely basis,” said Albany Sgt. Dave Bettencourt. And so . . . “We’re using Airsoft as an affordable option to try to maintain the officers’ skills.” Try to maintain. How reassuring is that? Anyway, Airsoft. “The Airsoft guns used by the department look, feel, and function almost like the real thing. They shoot small plastic pellets that still pack a punch. There is also another advantage, according to Tirona. “With Airsoft, it’s pennies compared to dollars with live ammunition.” ‘Cause cops are cost conscious. These days.

    Note 2 with 4g?

  • This is NOT an April Fool’s story. I promise. I already got that one out of my system. From what I can tell, it looks like the shortage on AR-15 rifles and the like is winding down at long last. However, the ammo shortage continues unabated and only seems to actually be getting worse . . .

According to my sources, some of the more popular mass produced AR-15 rifles are back in stock at the distributor level at the pre-panic prices. A Bushmaster AR-15 can be had for as little as $800 to the dealer, and Colt rifles are once again reasonably priced. In short, if you were #$%$ that you missed your chance to buy an AR-15 before the panic buying spree, you will have the opportunity to do so again very shortly.

It looks like AR-15 rifles have, for the moment, reached the “saturation point” in the market. Just about everyone who wants one has one, or doesn’t have the money to buy another. With a decrease in demand, production and the available supply catch up and prices will begin to drop off.

At this point, two things can happen. Those who’ve been waiting on the sidelines for prices to drop could swoop in and buy up the newly available supply, thus pushing prices back up (or keeping them at their panic-level highs). OR, we really are at the saturation point, in which case AR-15 prices will come down.

So while the news is good for the Evil Black Rifle™, the news isn’t as cheery for ammunition. The ammo shortage is having a compounding effect; those who weren’t hoarding ammo before are snapping up every round they can find now. And those with ample ammo stashes are seeking to add to their stores. In short, we’re still screwed for the foreseeable future.

So to recap, the good news is that you can buy guns. The bad news is that you can’t feed them.

equity_360: "But I really don't know when they really are, because I'm too lazy to call SWHC I.R. and get even a guesstimate, so I just make one up myself!!!"

p.s. Gun Control is dead, EVERYONE knows it. Guns sales will have peaked at this earnings release. No hurry to buy another firearm until Elections years from now.

    Again...."Peak Guns".

  • Use savings to build up war chest.
Options are a CURSE for all small and mid cap companies, especially in the mining Sector.
Get off your lazy bums and call I.R. today to demand changes to cut cost.....Options are one of their biggest (non-mine) expenses.
