New 52 week low at 14.00 in this down market

New 52 week low with close of 12.79 yesterday on almost triple volume.

I wouldn't even try to guess what the bottom is with this company that has lost it's direction and used to be a favorite(and large) holding of mine.

Sad. I know I'm still not adding.

    denver,

I've been here a while and my memory isn't the greatest but I believe over the past year or so it's been the exact opposite - including last qtr.

Some folks hype the stock and the price runs up, then they DON'T deliver (for anyone but themselves that is), rince, repeat.

But yes - someday I hope you are correct, several quarters in a row...

  • Up 1.15 or 5.65% in an up market today.

Maybe it IS possible that Mario really will help one of my favorite sleepy little cyclical stocks.

After all I think he and I are the only ones here....and I've been here longer.

    Are real posts allowed?

KLIC historically has made major moves, in both directions on no news. Then often when you think it's high BETA would participate proportionally it doesn't happen. Today was one of those days.

Well, Gabelli is making some noise at 17% ownership.

If he ever mentions AP on TV we could have another bounce. This IS a tiny stock.

In the meantime I'm thinking no matter what he forces as the trust continues to liquidate another 20-30% over the next year could be reasonable.

    Good luck folks!

    LED T8 Bulb is BIG

    by aaronedward2003 May 5, 2014 9:14 AM
davebugs davebugs May 5, 2014 9:36 AM Flag

I am in the middle of having many LED 4' fixtures from Lowes installed in a food environment for 80.00 each.

I don't know when these bulbs will be available.

But I decided not to use T8's on the main floor (and go with these LED units instead) partly because of the fact that they were T8, and then I have to get tube covers (incase a light breaks in a food environment), etc. I thought the complete LED fixture was best.

I am however literally in the middle of taking out old #$%$ 8' flourescents downstairs and in the garage, infact I'm headed in to check on the electricians now. They are being replaced with new T8 fixtures as we speak. Looks like when any bulbs need replaced I'll be converting them to LED - I like that.

Also I stopped at another HD in Allegheny County PA where Duquesne light subsidizes ONE CREE 60w bulb - I think the daylight one, and bought more. So now I've likely purchased 40 or 50 CREE bulbs myself. And as I posted here a week or so ago an LED form another manufacturer has already failed for me - a 60w.

If CREE continues to fall I'll likely continue to nibble.

Mindless shorts is what it'll take for another pop, SPAM can't do it on it's own!

Yes if it continues to rise I'll likely start to write calls. I'd have to look but I believe I've sold of 1/3 of my recent holdings. I'll be less likely to sell more, but look to participate with the momo guys showing up by selling calls to them. Lowering my cost basis incase the pop fizzles but putting some shares at risk.

KLIC is in much better shape product wise and financially than ever, but it's still a cyclical industry. IMO only a fool doesn't book some profits.

Another nibble 10% down from teh last one at 46.85.

And I'll soon start doubling the size of the nibbles given teh chance.

Someday they WILL actually deliver with an ER. Until them though it looks liek it's back to loading up when they disappoint, write calls and buy htem back after teh ER.

    Sold a little

Sold those. Almost have sold 1/3 of my remaining holdings the past few days now.

I am almost down to 10% of the shares that I had when KLIC was under 2.00.

And like I said NOONE was recommending KLIC then.

So the news the past week or so may come and go(along with the stock price). If you have a significant gain on a bunch of shares IMO the prudent thing to do is sell a few...

Gonna try and sell a few more at 14.65 if it gets back there today.

I've been out since before open and heading back now.

If these sell I'll have sold 1/3 of my recent holdings.

Tonight I'll look at writing calls.

    Good luck folks!

I've owned shares way longer than Bruno to I expect.

Yep, some at 13.77 in one account and 13.95 in another. Maybe 10% of holdings.

If we keep running today I'll likely write some calls on up to 1/4 of my remaining shares.

Always prudent to book some profits.

They are now a Singapore company I believe so I don't know what the effects of bringing money "home" from whatever country it may be in (if not already in Singapore) may be.

    Anyone really know this info?

The performance and handling the call.

I even think I'm learning to understand him better especially in the prepared remarks.

He didn't stammer nearly as much other than when answering the personel investor.

I gota love these new companies asking questions about the cash. Look at a little history from this company.

    KLIC is a CYCLICAL company!

I realize folks (including investors) have A.D.D. but I appreciate someone with a longer therm strategy and the ability to position for it.

These "what are you going to do with all the cash" guys will move on quickly no matter what Bruno does. IMO they aren't "true" KLIC investors, just looking for fast money. I've done very well with the cyclical trading approach here and have been for 15 years or so. I'll take that anyday over a one time move by mgmt to appease some recent "investors".

Again Bruno gains my respect by holding his ground, not squandering the money making a boneheaded purchase, or by cowering to these new investors.

Heck - I even think his English may be improving.

I can't stay online very long today but if we approach 14 I will be lightening up or writing calls.

    Good luck folks!

    I admit - I don't know where it is.

But years ago When Dillion Radigan? was on Bloomburg I can still him say "money flow" it must have been what he covered when I had the TV on in the morning at the hotel.
