What implications does the Geographic revenue shift have in terms of customer concentration? If the top two OEM sales are reported as part of the North America (70%+-) the percentage increase in both Asia and Europe seems to be good news in terms of additional customers and global sales ramping and less customer concentration.
One seller in Europe is Pyramid Computer GmbH. Pyramid offers NetFlex ELX (easy lan exchange). They also offer Pyramid Varioflex. The NetBen II model. They have a video of ELX being used on the site. The EXL branding appears to be SETAC based.
Oh my, the Asia connection is excellent. They are selling the Silicom SETAC to the SDN market. CSCO stated that Asia was soft last QTR but it wasn't soft for SMCI....
If you like this company look at SILC - SMCI sells products based upon the SETAC device created by SILC.
Yes, bought recently also. Inital position. If position shows a profit I'll double up about 22.5 (or so).
Liquidity can be viewed either as # of shares or total $. Very recently SILC was trading at $40 / share. I would argue that in $ terms liquidity has increase 50%. The size of the bid is a typical 100 shares. Was $40,000 now it's $62,000.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
"Public cloud providers (Amazon, Verizon etc.) will need our essential building blocks in their own white boxes - especially since power, heat and space limitations increase the need for HW accelerators"
From the Q4 2013 Investor Presentation updated 1/23/2014. It's in the investors relations section of the Silicom US site.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Jesse Livermore: ‘Men Who Can Both Be Right & Sit Tight Are Uncommon’ . Now he went bankrupt a few times and killed himself - he might not be the ideal investment advisor.
Is it possible that they want Silicom as an investment banking customer? What service would they be trying to sell Silicom?

What better way to maximize shareholder value. Hold down value then offer your services to the company...
Did you ever consider adding to your position? The objective of the game isn't to be right but to make a lot of money when you are right. And to cut losses when you are wrong. You can't tell if you are late and from the public information you are not. I see some risk in the China slowdown based upon Cisco results. On the other hand Silicom sells to Chinese sever manufactures and may not be effected by that part of which was based upon security / eavesdropping concerns.
I see two things looking at the chart. Pull back with support at 50 DMA. Some CANSLIM people will see that as a possible point to increase a position. That's the position we're in today.
Now as the stock moves up we hit the buy point for the cup and handle pattern. They will want to see some volume associated with the increase in price.
I'm not trading either of these as the position is already established.
What most people think will be used by short term traders. Recall the fake out on the break out a few weeks ago.
