WWE making more ill fated promises.

If "Legends House" is the best they can come up with regarding "original new content"
well, they just might want to consider the following:.

If reality TV is the norm for original content today, why not feature the lifestyle of that jet flying limo riding Nature Boy, as he takes or attempts to take yet another ride on Space Mountain.

Might want to guess star such "studs" as the Dos Equios world's most interesting man or perhaps Val Venus showing off the latest trends in "towel fashion", or perhaps the lovely Missy Hyatt, as she plots and schemes as to whom the next man will be to succumb to her "charms", only to find that she's been upstaged by that blond xxxxx Sunny.

    WrestleMania reaches over 1M households

    by calcsmart Apr 15, 2014 6:30 PM
daveedandlaura daveedandlaura Apr 15, 2014 6:54 PM Flag

Regarding The 1M household number, what is the breakdown between network subscribers and those who still ordered it via the old pay per view model?

What has been the response (if any) from those cable subscribers who offered Wrestlemania? Will they continue to carry the other "special events" Ie Summer Slam, Survivor Series etc?

Wait until this stock's price falls to where the dividend yield equals at least 4% and then invest to the extent of your available risk capital ( that is how much can you afford to lose without putting yourself in financial jeopardy)

Is the dividend in danger of being cut or eliminated? Unknown. Consider this. If in fact the McMahon's/Levesque's who by far are the majority stakeholders in this company, are paying themselves via dividends, in lieu of salary, due to tax considerations, one would think that they would keep it at current levels, to maintain their cash flow requirements so that they can continue to enjoy the lifestyle that they have grown accustomed to .

One thing that I think that we can all agree upon, the McMahon's/Levesque's do not live a "ham and egger" joe six pack lifestyle. What they have grown accustomed to, requires significant cash flow outlays, far in excess of the cash flow requirements for about 95% of us,

    4% sure beats

Nero, you are indeed pathetic if you feel the need to trash those members of our population that have developmental disabilities.

WWE Superstars such as John Cena make a HUGE AND POSITIVE IMPACT ON THIS SEGMENT OF THIS POPULATION. G-d bless them!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to disagree (for now). If you have held this stock for one year or longer, you still have a substantial unrealized gain. And don't forget, for those ham and egger investors such as myself in the 10 or 15%
tax bracket, selling this now will result in zero tax (at least on the federal level)

For those of you with compassion, if you see the Nature Boy perhaps you could slip him a few bucks from your gains to help Natch combat his cash flow challenges.

Otherwise, principlestride I strongly agree , WWE is now a strong sell. Single digit stock price, greater likelihood than this stock seeing $30.00 + again. Dividend cut or elimination by 2015 YES

As a qualified dividend taxed at 15% (in the McMahon's case probably 20% + the 3.8% investment income surtax)

Nonetheless, I am surprised at this stock's sudden downturn. I didn't expect this until the first round of subscription non-renewals appears this fall.

For those of you who have held this stock for one year or longer, SELL IT NOW, take your capital gains, and for those of you in the 10 or 15% tax bracket, enjoy a 0% capital gains tax if you sell on or before December 31/ 2014..

Because after January 1, 2015, WWE WILL BE FAR WORSE THAN A STRONG SELL!!!!!!!!!!! Single digit stock price, elimination of the 0% capital gains tax , as Kurt Angle says, ITS REAL , ITS DAMN REAL.
(whoops, Angle is not employed by WWE )

Impact Wrestling might be available for sale at a price equal to or less than your "realized gain" on this transaction.

You can now go on television, and proclaim yourself to be the New Million Dollar man.

Hire the "NATURE BOY" as your personal bodyguard. Imagine the possible storylines that can be created incorporating the 'NATURE BOYS' REAL LIFE PROBLEMS resuting in him being hired in said capacity.

Let us not forget to include Ms. Dixie in the mix as your personal valet. and the possible drama that could unfold between her and the Nature Boy!!

    Whoooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

Jake, how about buying Impact Wrestling, hire Shane McMahon as CEO, bring Jericho, Punk and Goldberg into the company, bring back AJ Styles , and for comic relief include Ms. Dixie in the Knockouts Division.

It is unfortunate that in order one must take substantial risks to earn the 5% FDIC insured once offered by your friendly neighborhood bank (quiz, do any of you know the name of the branch manager where your primary account is located, (I doubt it), but that's the way it is today. I believe that TIS represents less than substantial risk, despite the ongoing investigation being conducted by outside legal council, (i've said enough about that) to earn that approx 5%.

Multiply the comnander_response by a large number engaged in such maneuvers, then it is not difficult to see why so many people think that the market is "Wall Street Vegas".

As John Paul Levesque (known in professional wrestling circles as HHH? the COO of that ultimate "fake" sports entertainment enterprise known as World Wrestling Enterprise says, "Time to play the game". Second by pro "rassling superstar Kurt Angle, "Its real, damn real.

Well, at least the money one invests in such a speculative venture is. Don't bet the mortgage, unless you think that the government will run to your rescue. On second thought.............................................

    The Bear Case for WWE

    by dabqs Mar 21, 2014 3:32 PM

    Except for Princess Stephanie.

Perhaps, Daddy War Bucks McMahon will not be handing the keys to the kingdom over to his daughter and son-in- law when he decides to vacate the throne which has prompted Ms. Mcmahon to begin liquidating a portion of her holdings.

Or perhaps the Levesque's are trying to build a war chest
so that they have the liquidity they will need to pay the vultures ( attorneys) when Vincent Kennedy McMahon does step down and a proxy war of some kind follows (Shane McMahon perhaps who is seems to be keeping a low profile these days) regarding control of this company.

Does VInce have a succession plan? If so is it drafted in such a way that even the vultures will be unable to personally enrich themselves? Do investors have access and can they reviews said contents? Maybe, no and no are the likely answers.

  • daveedandlaura daveedandlaura Mar 21, 2014 7:25 PM Flag

Does Mr. Monteverde need to produce some billable hours to justify his position in the firm?

Perhaps the company should send this vulture's firm some of their finest. On second thought, TIS probably could't produce enough product for these clowns to wipe their backsides with.

Late to the game for comment.

This appears to be an ideal income investment stock for one to have a position with. But due to market risks, I would like to see a dividend yield at least equal to or slightly higher than whatever the yield currently being offered on a 5 year CD that would be FDIC insured at a financial institution.

If that yield is 2.5% or greater, than LANC would be a solid BUY.

Maybe none of the above, but what about Stephanie McMahon, these past 12 months?

Ells bells, with the proceeds from the stock that she sold, she could buy Impact Wrestling, employ Ms. Dixie as her personal valet and nanny, and still have plenty of money to build her McMansion, along with quarters where Ms. Dixie can live to be near the McMahon children 24/7.

    WWE Network out of steam

    by principletrade Mar 18, 2014 12:17 PM
daveedandlaura daveedandlaura Mar 19, 2014 7:00 PM Flag

    Agreed.

If original programming on the network consists of such "must see" programming consisting animated WWE talents that amount to another version of Southpark, and "reality programming" of lifestyles of the WWE talents , another version of the Real Housewives, well folks, can't see a subscriber excitedly telling their friends they need a subscription.

Vince has had a TERRIBLE TRACK RECORD, when he has deviated from his core product. World Body Builder, ICOPRO, XFL, Debbie Reynolds casino, whatever that was in Times Square, where are they today? The lackluster performance in the motion picture segment, need we say more?

Why will the network be a success?

Folks by no later than this fall, as new subscriptions begin their decline, and the rate of cancellations accelerates, WWE WILL BE WORSE THAN A STRONG SELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
