Listen up all!!
There is no doubt a number of you out there who have some significant unrealized gains on this stock.
Now please take this into account. For 2014 if you are in the 10% or 15% income tax bracket, your capital gains will be taxed at 0%!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't see the Feds continuing this. Obama Care must be funded, and since only the wealthy (lol) report capital gains/losses on their 1040's 0% tax on gains must go.
I said in an earlier post, to time to sell would be in September. I'd like to modify that to say the time to sell WWE for tax purposes would be shortly before the November elections..
I see a lot of tax selling occuring in November and December.
Thusly, this stock will begin falling in November. To recap why:
1. WWE new TV contracts will be in place
2. Cancellations from first subscribers will slow the growth in new subscriptions
3. Overall stock market decline as a result of massive sales for tax purposes.
And that's the bottom line, because this ham and egger says so!!!
I want to see the subscription numbers after the 6 month mandatory holing period expires. the renewal % number will be most telling.
Lets face it, some folks ordered now in order to get Wrestlemania . There will be those who will take this chance to browse the WWE library, essentially free of charge, see what they want to see, and then drop the subscription after a period of about 8 months, from sign up..
I see the growth of the stock's price come screeching to a halt shortly after they have the contract (s) for the new TV deals in place this fall perhaps?. Thusly, folks the party's over then.
Since it is virtually impossible to accurately pinpoint when this stock reaches its zenith, I would speculate the time to bail out would be sometime around Labor Day. Until then, enjoy the ride.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
Can you say Obamacare Advance Tax Credit (subsidy)?
Who's gong to pay for it folks?
Maybe it would be a good investment to purchase stock in the company that makes the Rosetta Stone language software. We will all one day need to learn to speak either Chinese, Arabic and/or Russian for one two or all of them will one day be our masters
Will Wrestlemania XXX be available via the old pay per view platform by the cable companies, or will it only be available for those who have subscribed to the WWE network?
One unrelated question. Does anyone know if WWE offers guided tours of its headquarters to the general public?
Is Vince considering buying a British soccer team?
I guess the McMahon's are striving to become the wealthiest and or the most powerful family in the state of Connecticut.
In closing a message to all of us "ham and egger investors . Let's face it folks, none of us had any expectations that this stock's value would triple in one year.
Isn't it about time to sell and take profits? Do we hold on, thinking their is yet more upside in this security? If we continue to hold our respective positions in the company, is our behavior therefore no different from the McMahon's?
Nice problem to have though.
Bowl America and Golden Flake Enterprises two stocks I watch for no apparent reason have a message board that is basically a clean slate as well.
Once again, when WWE receives what many feel will be a major cash flow infusion from the next contract,
first and foremost, some of that money should first and foremost be given to the talents who are the reason the company is enjoying its success. (but by out Lesnar PLEASE, get rid of him after Wrestlemania)
Second a one time special dividend should be paid to the shareholders, to recover some of the loss they experienced when the company reduced the dividend by 2/3 in June 2011.
Finally, continue to invest in talent development, which of course is the lifeblood of this company.
Might even consider looking into the availability of talents like AJ Styes, Austin Aries and yes perhaps Kurt Angle, three PROVEN talents who could make a major impact on the roster if promoted properly.
Might be sufficient to purchase Impact Wrestling.
Or perhaps you would prefer to help the Nature Boy extract himself from his deep financial hole.
Paying alimony to 4 ex's can seriously put a hurtin' on one's cash flow.
Time to chime in.
I bought this stock in late April 2010. I bought it then because it offered a very attractive yield.
My intent was to buy and hold and as long as the divy holds, that will continue to be my position. Therefore I am not concerned about the price drop given that my return still is far in excess of 2X.
Others of course have different motivations and expectations when they make an investment decision and grant it, BGS may at this point in time be a major disappointment to them Those folks would certainly be justified with their attitude and position.
One size does NOT fit all in the investment marketplace.
Dixie needs a capital infusion!
If the best new talent she can obtain is MVP, she needs help i took it to the bank. CM Punk would be a tremendous addition to the Impact Wresting roster. He won't come cheap.
Don't forget the Nature Boy as well. With paying spousal support for 4 ex'#$%$ in a likelihood is in need of a capital infusion as well.
Ells bells to charts, fundamentals, 50/200 day moving averages, beta coefficients/ P/E ratios, forward P/E earnings, return on equity, and all other financial ratio metrics, the ONE source to pay attention to is the spouse. Happy wife, happy wife. And THAT"S the bottom line because my wife says so!!!!
Furthermore, superstars and divas the men and women who night in and night out " kick their boots up
Xsses" to entertain "WE THE PEOPLE" need to be appreciated more by management.
HHH of all people should understand the hardships and sacrifices made by the most of the talents and he of all people should be their advocate and strongest supporter.
These superstars and divas are the ones who sometimes are given ridiculous scripts to execute, who put their bodies on the line every night to provide and deliver the entertainment to the "WWE Universe.
Come on now, look at the number of chair shots that no talent Lesnar delivered to Big Show. at the Royal Rumble. I can only imagine the pain he endured from that sadist. My sympathies go out to you Rena. I cannot say anything more.
Most (not all especially Khali, Lesnar and yes Orton and Ells Bells buy out Brock and get rid of him NOW) are deserving of significant increases in their next contracts , with Daniel Bryan at the forefront. YES YES YES!!!
Outside the McMahon family, and some insiders, chances are there are few current investors who have held this stock since its IPO.
Those who bought the stock at this time and have continued to hold those shares, have still not recovered their basis. Those folks certainly have taken a "hit" (not Bret Hart) especially when the dividend was reduced by 2/3 in the June 2011 quarter.
With all the new revenue streams that WWE should begin flowing, and with Wrestlemania XXX around the corner, I believe NOW is the time for the McMahon' s to step up to the plate and offer us "ham and egger" shareholders a one time special dividend in an amount not to exceed the total dividends "lost" between June 2011 and today as a result of the of the 2/3 cut.
I have no doubt that the McMahon's are fully aware that the maximum tax on qualified dividends is 23.8 % vs what I imagine is their respective current marginal tax rate of 43.4%. So converting earned income to unearned income should yield the McMahon's more dollars in their pockets with the same outlay of corporate cash.
I am aware that dividends paid by a corporation are non tax deductible, so yes from the corporate side, the corporation will be "cash poorer".
"WE THE PEOPLE" TO QUOTE ZEB COULTER, are the reason this company is on a tremendous run at the present time. "Excuse me" HHH, Vince, Stephanie and all officers and directors of WWE NOW is the time, to repay at least some of the dividend that was cut in June 2011. It would be a wise and sound public relations gesture.
Its where America is, America was and America will always will be. Just ask Brett the "Hitman" Hart.
Timing the launch of the network prior to Wrestlemania, will probably result in a huge bump of initial subscriptions so folks can enjoy viewing this event.
The question of the day is this; (1) How long will it take for the growth in the number of new subscriptions sold begin leveling off, and (2)how many customers will renew after the first mandatory 6 month initial period and (3) when (and not if) will total subscriptions begin to decrease?
The WWE is "the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be
Best there is " How many publicly traded securities have closed at its 52 week high in the past consecutive 8 trading days?
Best there was, Obviously no.
Best there ever will be. I believe YES YES YES in the VERY SHORT RUN. Some major cash flow streams appear to be on the horizon. Perhaps WWE will be gracious to offer a one time special dividend to say thank you especially to the shareholders who have held this stock prior to 2011, and saw their dividend slashed by 2/3 in June 2011.
I believe a prudent time for investors to sell ones holdings would be sometime shortly before or after Summerslam 2014..
Once the TV contracts are finalized and subscriptions begin leveling off after Summerslam, the tremendous growth we have seen in this stock in recent weeks will come to a grinding halt
That's the bottom line because this "ham and egger" said so. Can you smell what this "ham and egger" is cooking???
The uncertainty regarding the potential legal costs that the vultures (excuse me the attorneys) are currently calling that the company has engaged in "securities fraud "is a concern.
I suspect that a settlement will be reached, the company will report a poor quarterly result when such settlement is determined, cash will be expended which could have been used for far more productive purposes than enriching legal council and providing some meager crumbs that certainly would be far far insufficient to satisfy the"hunger " (greed) of the vultures (attorneys) ,to the shareholders, and then its business as usual.
Don't all publicly traded companies disclose in either their annual reports, or in their 8K
reports they file with the SEC a rather comprehensive list of risk factors ?
Or are there other reporting mechanisms that I have failed to identify?
Are these disclosures insufficient and if so why?
Please someone help this"ham and egger" understand.
