no. When the price goes up, he posts that he only held for a few hours and took that quick profit of 25 cents on his 100 share short. HA
If you are thinking 'total return' I think BAC is the better bet, even after you add in the NYCB dividend. However if you are an income investor, and not thinking of selling down the road then NYCB looks better. Everyone has different goals
Well we'll have to see how the new software works out. Being internet based should offer a lot of upgrades. Problems or not, with the new healthcare requirements I am sure that revenue will be up again this year. The stockholders will be happy and that is the main goal of any company and employees are not. Sadly that is our system
Like a lot of other info. This is available on the internet. So I google 'RMD calculator', Find a good one, Save it to favorites and PROBLEM SOLVED
I'm not ready to move into the survival shelter yet. But those with a diversified income portfolio in 2009 did just fine if they held on. Sure there was GE, but if that was 5% of your portfolio you were protected. Only sellers lost. Holders kept getting their income and now the prices are higher than before plus all those reinvested dividends.
Hey it hit #38 last week. I added some more at $42, It seems to me that there has always been a lot of wild price swings. One of my favorite holdings
Sentiment: Strong Buy
if market goes to 14 or 15,000 what a great day that would be for income investors like me. I have already added to my positions in T, RDS-B, PNNT, AINV. If there is a big collapse, and you are conservative you could scoop up KO, PEP, , JNJ etc. They will be selling there product, just like they din in 20009-2010. The only losers were those who panicked and sold. I have some cash on the sidelines from taking profits in June, so just looking for good entry points, and not worrying about the ups and downs.
He is not a 'fact' kind of guy. Just a message board troll. Best to put him on ignore or just laugh at his posts. He has been haunting the 'O' board for years predicting death spirals while stock price has doubled.
Lou, I used the Donk's money for the buys. I got wind that he was shorting 200k shares the other day at 41.50. He covered at about 41.25 a few hours later and that's how he made that 45K profit. So I took some money from one of my petty cash accts $(4.1 million) and bought 100K of the shares he shorted. Then sold a few days later at 43. So made 150K profit. Sure a big tax hit for late in the year, but I had just donated 175K to Breast Cancer research, so I will be OK on taxes.
That's a good idea, but then I feel bad that he disrupts another board where the 'normal' posters don't know him. But it only takes about 2 posts to see that he is an idiot.
he follows me around and is now posting his nonsense there. My request. Donk why don't you move over there permanently and abandon this dull spot? At least there you get the wild price action that you crave. Plus many more post there . really you fit in better there than here.
