wow. I didn't realize how poorly CLX has done thru the years. I am looking for a death spiral down to Bankruptcy soon. With cut in food stamps people will have to use soap and water and stop using CLX expensive products
You hang around this board and NNN and post false and misleading posts about how they will cut the preferred dividend to pay the common, when you know that is a lie. These two companies made money in the great recession and continue to do so. They have bezillions in cash but you predict death spirals and bankruptcy. Since this will never happen, you will always be sad . The more you post, the more people see you as a buffoon.
I invest in companies that pay dividends that are higher than the average and/or increase them constantly. Like O,ETP, KMP, ARLP, PNNT etc. I don't worry about price fluctuations as long as fundamentals remain constant. Yes they are interest rate sensitive, but still remain profitable in this environment.
If someone owned CLX and O over the past 10 years---The price gain is similar, but O 's dividend was at least twice as much. So even though you read the 10K's, and always talk about 'total return' you like the company with the lower total return.
OK one last try. I NEVER, NEVER, NEVER said that higher interest rates will benefit ANYONE. What I said was when the economy improves interest rates will move higher. So PLEASE do not pretend you do not understand what I said
You mentioned that O's dividend used to be in the 8%-10% range when interest rates were higher. So how were they able to be profitable back then?
