babatau124. I don't disagree with you as to how screwed up the world is. The key is to make money in the world as it is.
At some point, BIDU stock may cease to be a good investment but not yet in my opinion. As it stands, if what I have left in BIDU went to zero, it would hurt but I would still have made a large gain from it in total.
I'm letting it ride until it reaches a sell point for me either much higher or it starts to break down or I find something else I think will provide a better return. Good luck
I've owned BIDU since before 2007. I don't know of a time since I bought in that there weren't a number of people on this board claiming this stock is worthless or that China is crashing. I've, in the meantime, sold half my shares because BIDU became too large a portion of my portfolio and I'm up 10x on what's left. This has been a great stock for me and i'm a pig and want more. I expect to get it.
i'm in EOG @ $45.04. If it approaches that, I'll double up unless something really goes wrong. Right now I believe it survives better off than many. Certainly its properties are good enough to warrant merger or buyout interest. And in the end, I know something that apparently many in the world do not., the modern world runs on oil, gas and even coal. Put the world back to work and we have an energy shortage not a surplus.
