money would have been better off buying back some of their debt. They ticked away $200M in buyback money by buying at 2X the current price
I have repeatedly said Avis and Hertz are better shorts for the "Uber Effect". Avis had a dud with earnings and hit a new multi-yr low today. Was a $70 stock a couple years ago and now is just above $22 after a 25% fall today. Much more liquid, easier to cover, no dividend. $13B in debt and only $450M in cash. Not sure I would even call the company solvent as the loans are essentially backed by beat up, used cars. Avis is now down almost 50% YTD
one month later: gold up 100% vs last year and silver up 20% vs last year. US Mint really at full production.
PCGS has already done over 510K coins this quarter. 150K are silver eagles, 10K gold eagles, 3K buffalos, 1K commemoratives
Maybe Moderns aren't the total driver. Volumes would still be good without the extra Modern volume
how can they prove that the powder caused the cancer? Maybe she would have gotten it anyway. This is an absurd judgement
your estimate seems reasonable and probable. EPS will be hard to guess as we don't know the mix of discounted bulk Moderns, regular Moderns, and Vintage. EPS could swing wildly from 30c to 40c. Either way units will be way up, revenue should be up, cash will be added. All of those should raise share price. If EPS is at the higher end, share price will go over $18 when they report in first week of May. In meantime, we collect another dividend. Just got my $3500 today.
290K coins in Feb, 548K quarter to date which is the 3rd highest quarter ever with 1 month to go:
593K in March 2014
559K in March 2015
548K this current quarter to date
547K June 2014
they last time just before they declared BK, someone almost said the exact same thing. If rates turn upward, they go BK again.
one person had those two titles. Only one person left. Water is boring. Maybe he got a better job somewhere else
I agree. I have told so many people to invest in AWK yet maybe only 2-3 have. They all say it's too boring. I say boring and steady is good. Oh well
when you have sold as little as they have in their history, what can possibly be recalled?
