I think the arbs are starting to get involved with the buyout discount to HL share price. Either that or someone else is buying shares before making a superior offer. Less than 5% discount to what the price should be. That is fairly typical before a shareholder vote takes place.
the current financing is a Death Spiral as it resets to the lower price when they raise more funds. That is the definition of a Death Spiral. Thus any new funding will require another shareholder approval
The amount of money of all shares traded in this in the last year is trivial. You are a small player
like I said, even billionaires did not predict the metals and oil plunge. I made money on RVM in the past but not this time. If it was a company with multiple mines they could have weathered the storm. When the sole mine closes down, don't invest. I made that mistake this time. They also wasted much time and money trying to go around the rock fall.
In retrospect, when silver was $30+, they should have tried to partner with someone on Rock Creek. That was their biggest mistake. Imagine if they did sell 60% for $100M. The stock would still be over $3.
good post but keep in mind he is nothing but a troll who owns no shares and never intends to buy. He is a guy who has basically lost his life's savings in the market and tries to bug folks. Put him on ignore
card ticket prices are $8 vs $20 for coins. Card revenue is less than 25% of the total.
the point about coins this quarter is this is supposed to be their busiest coin quarter and there is a big fall off.
Final March numbers are in and they finished about 70K-80K coins below last year and maybe 10K-15K cards above last year. Flat revenue, maybe. Hard to gauge if some big, high value collections came in (Pogue)
Declining volumes and flat revenue do not excite me. Backlogs are "low" as well.
217K of those 550K options have already expired (March 3). The vast majority of the remaining expire on June 6. So essentially right now there are only 2M options outstanding, many out of the money and not vested yet either.
SLW owns about 15% purchased at much higher prices. Do they want to sell out at the bottom? Doubt it. So HL would buy it at $20M but not $25M or $30M?
