not only are the lines LONG, people are camping out over night. The Mint is issuing wrist bands to those in line to keep order.
for coins!! Would any of you wait in line overnight to buy a coin?
My take is by announcing this now that the quarter will be even worse than thought. They will then try to deflect that bad news by saying they are now selling these air filters. Next quarter they will announce they will be selling Simonize that protects the trucks from diesel dust.
New product lines cost money to develop and create inventory for. Therefore, expenses will be much higher than thought last quarter. Your prognosis of a profit is so misguided, I just can't understand it.
The stock just turned negative again.
the Mint is selling the new Kennedy coins at the Chicago show and at Mint sites across the US. Huge lines with thousands of people are reported at all the sites. The ones at the Chicago site are going to be graded with a special label by both PCGS and NGC.
No summer slowdown folks. In fact, the 30 day coin cert rate is 184K+. We are trending between 25%-33% above last year at this time depending on the day. The Sep quarter always sees some cash burn. If the trend continues, will be cash flow positive this quarter
$800K contract over a 5 year term. Pretty small deal. Not sure why they even bother to mention it
now below the secondary price of 78c. Baring really good news on the permitting front, I see no reason for this to not trend toward 60c. RVM continues higher.
I played the spandex card because you sound exactly like him. Seriously, if he has a gun to your head, just reply again to this post. you can call me a dbag. That will be the safe word
Let's say you are right, they "make" 10c or about $1M. Who cares really? CA retrofits are winding down. Going forward will be losses as far as the eye can see. I would gladly buy this at $4 with the feeling it was on it's way to $6 rather than at $2 thinking it could go BK any day.
the day traders have left this stock. There was ZERO reaction to being added to the Russell Small Cap Index. Remember I bought in before CDTI announced that on the premise day traders would move the stock. I sold immediately after that when there was no reaction. Being added to an index is probably more important than losing less money than thought by some loser Zacks analyst who is probably 75 years old
I've only played this with a few thousand shares. I can get in and out very easily. I didn't like what I found out after investigating more deeply into the company.
In my experience, execs don't quit just before things get good. The CFO of all people knows the numbers. I would say based on that, odds are they will miss in a big way with some sort of scandal or restatement. If they do -10c or -5c instead of -17c you really think anyone will care and push the stock higher? They would have still lost money and are nearly out of cash....again
If being direct is abrasive then get thicker skin. This is a stock any serious investor should avoid. Speculators are a different story.
a one off is not included in GAAP. No one will care if what you state happens. I will buy your shares at $1.25 next week and sell them at $1.50. This company is a joke.
when is the next reverse split?
does spanspur have a gun to your head as you type this? Is this stock acting like they will have a profit? With CFO quitting, I'd put higher odds at something fishy was uncovered and they have less cash than thought or will restate
that is typically what happens. Earnings should be a couple of weeks after ex-div date and that could move this too especially if yearly cash burn has decreased. It is possible and estimated by me that they generated $500K last quarter and thus only burned $500K for the year. $700K is due to leases on discontinued businesses half of which expire end of 2015. So cash flow from continuing operations will be yearly positive.
None of the things you mentioned really stuck out with me. CFO quitting trumps all that. Remember, the CFO was the interim-CEO a while back. I wouldn't touch this here. Technicals look terrible.
