The company also announced a new $300 million venture fund that Dell said would accelerate invention outside of the company.
"We'll work with these companies to incubate them, give them resources and help them grow to be part of the ecosystem we're all apart of," he added.
Adds credence to Dell being the PC partner. Plenty more $ available to help UNXl get high volume production going -not that they really need it.
So now there is Synaptics CEO expressing enthusiasm for UNXL, multiple analyst recommendations with huge price targets, Dell and Intel throwing their support into the mix, Kodak manufacturing expertise, PO's signed, milestones met, huge addressable market. Smells like a multi-bagger to me.
You won't see insider buying. There is WAY too much going on right now the general public does not know and insider buying would have to be prohibited accordingly. The shorts and MM's know this full well and are taking advantage of the news vacuum since they know the ONLY catalyst for upside right now is a definitive PR. This prevents insider buying but they are playing with fire since that very PR will create a huge price spike upward. The shorts will be unable to cover and the MM's will scramble to borrow shares to cover the demand which will be far in excess of their inventory. Gigantic short squeeze and big MM losses can happen literally overnight.
Interesting - shows that the technology is clearly viable. Kodak has as much if not more experience as Fuji in films technology. The odds are most definitely in their (and UNXL's) favor that they will pull this off and capture their share of the market. It's a mystery to me how there can be so much short interest in the stock.
All this verifiable and factual evidence vs. the murky short arguments "Killion can't deliver" "We snuck photos when the company wasn't looking" "the product simply doesn't work" NONE of which can be verified, just words spewed by anonymous posters hiding behind fake ID's. Which side would you rather be on?
Of course the MM's are taking full advantage of the confusion, walking the share price down on tiny volume and 100-share fake trades. Soon enough their game will be over as well.
Also check out the presentation from Sept. 3rd. They have touchscreen sensors as one of their major market opportunities. Lots of experience and equipment dealing with the film printing and deposition technologies. Perfect partner for UNXL - HUGE market and all they have to do is get a small chunk of it to get monster earnings for both companies. The door is wide open and they are clearly standing on the threshold.
They also highlight touchscreen technology in general as a major market opportunity in the Sept 3rd presentation. Kodak is for real and they have enormous experience and superb technology - what a great partner for Uni-Pixel. All the whiners and deny-ers crying because Killion hasn't made them rich yet can go sit in the corner. With a little patience this will pay off big time.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
UNXL is no different than any other stock that trades on a system run by Market Makers. In the absence of news the bias will almost always be to the downside since market makers as a rule will always try to keep the price low. This is both to build their inventory as cheaply as possible and as a result of their own shorting to recoup losses they may have sustained during previous runups. Remember a market maker has to "make a market" and during runups with lots of demand they often have to borrow shares to meet the demand since they have depleted their own inventory of shares. Thus after the runup they will always be trying to drive the price down any way they can to get shares back as cheaply as possible. Low volume makes it really easy since they can force the stock down on small blocks to take out stop losses etc. - anything they can do they will. Almost guaranteed a big part of the short interest is MM's.
IMO this is what has happened the past few weeks. The uncertainty has put a lid on big buying demand and the MM's have been able to play their games, walking the share price down. It will continue as long as the uncertainty continues. Once confirmation of shipment and satisfactory performance of the products is determined that game is over and the demand for shares will explode with a corresponding price increase.
Didn't take long for the cockroaches to come out of their dung piles - just as predicted. They can't help themselves, they are prisoners of their own demented natures.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
This is an audio file archived on Uni-pixel's website. The WIlliams rep grills Reed Killion in-depth on all sorts of topics from the ISO waiver, Intel partnership, shipping dates and probabilities etc.
Do yourself a favor and listen to this audio file. Then ask yourself, would an intelligent CEO knowing full well the lunacy and litigious nature of the market and how closely the company is being watched, make the sort of direct statements that he did? Repeatedly and without hesitation he makes the statement "We will be shipping product in Q4".
He talks a lot about the general production process and issues they have have overcome, in general a quite informative hour and you should most certainly give it a listen if you are investing in this stock.
Put all the cockroach bashers that pop up 100 times for every post on ignore and pay attention to what is really going on. They have made tremendous progress on commercializing this technology and are bringing it to market in a very real and substantial way. Kodak, Intel, millions of dollars in milestone payments tell the story -
Who you going to believe? Loser fagit and it's (this has to be an "it" - can't be human) cockroach buddies or the real people and companies putting their money and reputations on the line for all the world to see?
Sentiment: Strong Buy
There IS no Uni-Boss anymore. It has been completely re-branded as Intouch. ALL shipments will be Intouch. Listen to the audio replay of the Oct. 2nd Williams conference on Uni-Pixels website. Killion stated repeatedly and emphatically they WILL ship product in Q4. The questioner grilled him numerous times on what might happen if they don't ship and the reply every time is "We WILL ship in Q4".
So while it is still possible that they WON'T ship in Q4, unless Killion is just completely stupid and setting up himself and the company for even more grief he would never have made such direct and definite statements. My personal sense is they will indeed ship the PO by 12/31. That means until such announcement the stock will continue this endless bouncing around the $12 mark.
Look at the max chart and you can see the stock has always been pretty volatile, taking 2 trips from $15-ish down and back up, then this latest plunge (which was WAY overdone by the way) For a company doing close to a $billion a year in revenues and quite healthy overall this is still dirt cheap and presents an excellent entry point for sizable gains going forward. Market cap of $310 million is nuts. Listening to the call, they have identified the issues and are already remedying them. No reason it can't climb back to $15 if they get everything fixed. Just one of those crazy things where the market looks only at the current quarter and disregards all past performance and future prospects.
They put out the same sort hack piece on Boulder Brands, (BDBD) and Active Network (ACTV) which caused dramatic drops in the stocks. Both stocks have appreciated around 200% since the PP hack job. Look for the same here. Agree with you, grossly oversold. I would be very surprised if we don't see a lot of insider buys in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks for the kudos. It did this exact same thing last spring. I made serious cash and thought it would never see $4 again but who knew there would be another sub-3 takedown? I'm holding on to this batch of shares - if they follow through on the refi and Q4 debt paydown this is over $5 for sure. I think they will do both. Best to you -
