    You mentioned about K-1... will I be receiving one at the end of the year even though it's in my IRA account?
    Will investing in LNCO create same/similar situation as in LINN?

  • Can anyone help me understand how dividend is supposed to be reported (on your taxes) if you own shares of Linn Energy in your IRA account?
    I have about 300 shares of Linn. Distributions aren't taken out and is reinvested.
    Since it's a traditional IRA I probably won't me taking anything out until I turn 59 /12. I am 38 now.

    Also... I was going to buy more shares of Linn but I read somewhere that if your distribution from a MLP is more than $1000.00 or more per year (to your IRA account) than IRS might penalize you. How does this work?
